  1. Silly little production detail. At 8:56, when Frampt asks me if I took away his nom-noms, you might have noticed his mustache-thingy flopping around more than usual. I realized I had a way to make them appear bouncier to heighten the silliness, and the means of pulling it off was even sillier. There's a debug option for forcing ragdoll corpses on enemies. It won't kill them, but they'll collapse as if they're dead. You can then turn that back off, and enemies will sort of pop back up into whatever position & animation they're supposed to be in. That snapping back into place gives momentum to those dangly bits, so you're looking at him shortly after coming out of ragdoll.

There are ways of seeing this in-game without doing that. Quitting and reloading next to him allows you to see it IIRC, maybe after the transport cutscenes too.

  2. I remember completing sekiro, but I never knew where to find the "phantom kunai", I assumed that Lady Butterfly released it but for some reason it bugged and I didn't release it, then I went to the "training" area and by chance I talked to him chest and got the Phantom Kunai item, after playing a second time (not ng+) I realized that Anayama sold it, I never spoke to this npc again in my first game and I didn't remember that he sold it

  3. Alright, time to spawn vagrants nonstop for a full day
Gotta make the rarest thing in the first thing a little less rarer

  4. Just wanted to pop in and remind you how "sick" you are man, I've read your Blog since foreeeever and you're a real one.
Your blog's second only to Nomad Colossus for me imo. Would love to be pals and talk Dartk Souls Multiplayer interactions.
I was always personally rooting that maybe you'd do a youtube channel and video-archive all your work and research into the true depths of this game.
Ironically, SotC is also the only game that really compares in the same way… if you get what I mean. Love that game so damn much.
I'm a bit inebriated making this post, and, but regardless, it's nostalgic thinking back. GGs

  5. I received the anti air deathblow text in sekiro's offering box after progressing the story to the point where a major location changes drastically

  6. In my first playthrough of Sekiro I got the phantom kunai from the offering box. I'm not sure if it's because the merchant that sells it died at some point because it was so long ago, but I remember I got it postgame.

  7. After passing 1200 hours on the game, after a lot of builds and even more playthroughs, I just realized that this video is talking about Griggs becoming a Hollow. That never happened to me, as I never bought everything off him. It makes me somewhat content that in my universes, the poor looser kept his humanity until the very end.

  8. Fun fact: Bloodborne does not have this mechanic, and there is an oversight where if you pick a rune (kind of equivalent of a ring in bb) and you try to grab it in an ng+ run, it will be replaced with a madman's knowledge. The problem is, these runes can be sold and even just discarded, meaning that if you pick one up and delete it, you won't be able to use it with that character ever again.

  9. This is one of the few out in the open things in dks1 that i never understood, tnx for the video explanation.

  10. Hey Illusory, my brother beat Sekiro for the first time last month and he collected a life bead and the Umbrella Prosthetic from the Offering Box. I dunno how the Beads got in there, but for the Umbrella Prosthetic he never met Black Hat Badger at Ashina Castle before he moved to Senpo Temple and once he moves to Senpo he's no longer a shop. Since he's the only source of the Umbrella Prosthetic that has to be why it ended up in the offering box. He still had to pay for it to lol.

I myself have never had anything turn up in the offering box when I play Sekiro, much like I've never had to use the chest in Dark Souls.

  11. I have in fact gone out of my way to get the leo ring, then forgotten to pick it up, and missed it for the playthrough, and the same goes for stray demon titanite slab too…
Worth noting that in remaster you can drop any item you want with glitches so the chest does have some funny duping potential, this doesn't apply to switch though, switch doesn't have a glitch for that

  12. =randomly gets recommended the video=
=clicks on it and learns something new about Dark souls (I didn't know about the chest mechanic at all – I thought it was always empty)=
=hears and instantly recognized the Space Quest music=
=shouts "DUDE!" and subscribes and likes instantly=

  13. Are there more than one chest that function in this way? I feel like the chest at the end of the Gwendolyn hall with the sunlight blade miracle thats open might function the same way and i think the dlc has one too. Unless they are just empty chests for whatever reason?

  14. having the chest actually be a lost and found chest that holds items you couldnt pick up would be super useful… huh.

  15. I've always used the chest to repeatedly pick-up & feed to Kingseeker Frampt, the Cat Covenant & Darkmoon Blade Covenant rings. Just an easy way to get free souls everytime I swing by Firelink Shrine. Thanks for breaking it all down!👍
