Skyrim is a game full of choice. From picking between the Stormcloaks and Empire to deciding whether or not to spare Paarthurnax, The Elder Scrolls 5 is a game that affords the player a large amount of agency over its many narratives. Thankfully, many of the decisions we get to make in Skyrim are anything but easy, full of moral ambiguity rewards so tempting it’s impossible to choose. These opportunities to exercise our own judgement are by far some of the most thought provoking and interesting moments in the entire world of Skyrim. So today, we’ll be exploring some of the absolute best as we dive right into my top five toughest choices in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.

  1. "…basically worshipping some dead lady's corpse."
You're speaking of The Night Mother.
Show some respect, for to do otherwise, is to invoke the wrath of Sithis.
Cicero lives in each but my first playthroughs.
I didn't have the same love for the Dark Brotherhood when I first played the game that I do now.

  2. Im having a toigh time decidinh who I want to see me with sn amulet of mara on 🤦 some lady in that solitude clothing store was tryna holler at me lmao and some guy at an inn

  3. I killed the forswarn leader with a bound bow 🤷 Just to find out all the other prisoners would become hostile. I could have made my way out the prison but instead I unalived all of them since the thought they could beat me.. which they did many many times, too bad dragon born can go back in time when they die lmao

  4. Regarding Cicero, he didn't betray the sanctuary. He overheard Astrid desecrating the Night Mother's name and everything the Brotherhood stands for. He's the only one who actually cared about the guild, the only reason he doesn't like you is because he spent 20+ years listening to silence wishing he could be the Listener, and then you show up, desecrate her coffin, and become the Listener.

I feel his pain, but I respect his call to action. He did what he needed to do to protect the Night Mother and the honor of the guild.

  5. Sadly, I don’t seem to have access to the Dragonborn DLC, I’ve looked many times but it’s never there as an option, no idea why. 😔

  6. I sided with the Forsworn, got mynstuff back, changed clothes before emerging into Markarth. No one attacked me. I walked out after them and watched it all go down. I walked all the way to the stable area and stood right by a guard as they ran off being chased & shot at the whole time. 😂

  7. Dude if you sell your soul to several daedra do you think you die and they just have like a gruseome custody battle over your soul?? Or like do you spend one month out of every year in one hell?

  8. Always just slaughtered a single random orc stronghold after befriending one to get my 10 friendly kills for the blade lol

  9. I actually created a 3rd option for the Forsworn quest, kill both Thonar and Madanach. Side with Madanach and when he and Thonar battle each other FusRoDah them off the bridge. Madanach will die from the falling even if friendly.

  10. I always just resurrected a body from one of the zombies after year conjuration is high enough that you can make them a permanent follower and slayed them with the ebony blade that way and it actually considered them an ally and considered it that I was slaying them and I was able to finish the quest without killing anyone

  11. Cicero is so caricaturally "mad" I usually butcher the whole brotherhood 😅 he rubs all the wrong feathers.

  12. <= Is an Altmer himself (well: My characters are)…so for me doing business with the Thalmor isn't so outrageous (not that I do it, because I myself as a player don't like them much!)

  13. I don't think aid the forseworn is a difficult decision. Yes the Jarl is corrupt, but choose the guys who make sacrifices?

  14. Ah yes nothing worse than clearing ads in a dungeon to then finaly get to the end and forget the unique item that's needed for the interaction.

  15. 7:00 my first play throughout I didn't kill him.. I disliked Astrid at that point anyway understanding the real story.. I went back ready to kill Astrid too lol.. Imagine my disapointment after the last mission lol

  16. Ebony Blade is my Love.. I can;t wait til im able to get it… Muricio is always the first to taste the blade… I hate muricio -_-

  17. First playthrough I killed Parthurnaax AND joined the Stomrcloaks. Slaying that dragon was not hard. Cry me a river.

  18. The side of the war choice isn't even a choice for me as the imperials actually make sense while the stormcloaks are bonafide idiots

  19. oh c'mon!! You've gotta kill a guy who did nothing wrong to get the Forsworn ending – admittedly the idiot aggros you t he instant you kill Madanach but that's just him being stupid, you can avoid the whole fight if you're strong enough to kill Madanach with one blow – which next playthru I'll do – but picking their side is evil. An innocent woman is killed for no reason other than she's there when you enter Markarth for the first time ffa! The Forsworn are the bad guys.
