And yeah, it was established all the way back in OG Tsukihime that Nero Chaos' human persona was a member of the Wandering Sea, so there were people speculating about his involvement in FGO from all the way back in LB2's epilogue.
That mention of the two different calendar dates is that Chaldea isn't counting the time that has passed since the world was bleached, so it is still December 31 2019 there, whereas the clock for Chaldea itself is still moving forward (though exactly how much time has passed is screwy) hence why it is marked as 20XX since they aren't bothering to count how many years they feel may have passed

The not-in-this-timeline Nrvnqsr cameo is one of the reasons why I'm hopeful for his return in part 2 of the Tsukihime remake, especially because this originally came out in the same year as part 1. They knew people wanted to see him again, so they gave us this tease. Because I really doubt he'll show up in FGO again…or at least not in this form, though that's a lot more unlikely.
Chapter 6.5 should come out in about 4 months, but you're right in that this is the point in the game's history where the pacing starts to slow down, though JP's last year was when it got WAY worse and hit rock bottom. I really hope for all NA players' sake that they take this chance to close the gap between both servers by like half a year or something so you don't suffer all the dead weeks and months. For starters, maybe they should release LB7 all at once instead of a two parter that was clearly not planned and made the "Road to 7" campaign they did for the whole year feel kinda hollow when part 2 came out the year after.
