ADP increases your invincibility frames and makes certain animations faster such as Estus Flask usage so you go through the animation faster. Indispensable that you increase ADP

another small piece of advice, it's mainly about the pursuer but it works with most of the enemys, if you pay attention you'll notice he's right handed so if you dodge to his left side you'll be safer (the hand wich he holds the shield)

Amber you can use this level for early soul farming if you fell under leveled being a sorcerer can be a pain in this game early on. Cant wait till you experience the masterpiece that is ds3. then the 100+ hour monster that is Elden Ring.
Level faith to 20 and go back to felkin! You get some really cool stuff.

P.S. You may be the first person in history to kill the dragon before the rider.
They added that dragon in SOTFS and I still don't know how to deal with it consistently as a melee character. That's my most hated monster, I think. 31:03

The controversy with Dark Souls 2 comes from the quality of the game meaning things that felt less original or fully fleshed out compared to the first dark souls. In a nutshell, dark souls 2 was made by a different developer than from software… Miyazaki had no touch on this game’s development at all. The differences in my opinion, come from that fact. Think of it like the last 2 seasons of Game of thrones. Once they stopped referencing the source material, things got a bit hairy. Yet for those willing to consume it, the half baked ending was still tasty and visually amazing to watch. I don’t fault you for liking ds 2 nor do I fault people who like the ending of game of thrones or those who are at least OK with it. That being said, I am one of the people who was Ok with how that show ended. But with the souls series, I am willing to own the fact that I am a ds 2 hater 😉 but I’m just one man in a sea of people, and I am entitled to my opinion just like you are entitled to yours. So cheers 🥂 here’s to you enjoying ds2. May the good blood guide your way…

Great job going back and killing the extra Pursuers! FYI, in this episode, you took damage due to low AGL 12 times: 2:41, 4:21, 59:59 (I think), 1:00:05, 1:00:35, 1:20:17, 1:20:40 ("poorly timed roll"), 1:21:23, 1:22:15, 1:23:19, and 1:23:37. In contrast, the hits at 41:42, 1:21:30, and 1:23:39 would have barely connected even at AGL 105. It's certainly possible to play the game at low AGL as an added challenge, but for a first playthrough, low AGL makes it much larder to learn the roll timings because the window for success is so short. The game is denying you the feedback that those 12 rolls were actually good (or would have been in any other game in the series), while the 3 later ones were, just barely, not.
I killed the dragon the same way except with arrows took me alot longer but it was the easiest way
I did enjoy this part, thank you! As for where you should go: wherever you want! DS 2 let's you travel down many paths, so go wherever seems interesting and if you're having trouble, feel free to try a different path for a while!
One quick suggestion: fragrant branches are pretty rare, especially early on and I've included my advice as spoiler free as I can below. If you want to be completely blind I respect that and don't scroll down.
Still here? Cool . I would recommend not using a fragrant branch back in the tutorial area or in Heide's tower. The one near Benhart is a good choice, as are quite a few others. I won't say why unless you ask directly, but suffice to say I don't think those two are as good as the others.
Doing some fantastic dodging. Adp is actually a pretty dope stat. Poise goes a long way when dealing with large groups, or large enemies. Id invest in a decent shield too, for later. But youre doing pretty awesome just dodging, so maybe you should just stick with that.
Edit: if you get creative with that miracle that pushes the enemy, but doesn't do any damage, you can still do some good damage 😉

Funfact about Felkin's voice actor, he's a returning VA from DS1! Andy Gathergood voiced the pyromancer Laurentius and the Crestfallen Merchant, that moody fella in Sen's Fortress. As Felkin, I love how he sells the unnerving essence of a person who seeks the fringe and embraces humanity's darkness. On that note, happy hexing!

Please don't dump too much into ADP to get high agility as Attunement also raises Agility and you'll want a decent Attunement as a caster.
People that say get high ADP might not be taking that into account as they probably didn't play a caster.

You can almost turn every stone statue into live again. You should find enough branches. I had like 3 Statues left at the end of the game, but these arent that useful anyway.
There are more Pharros' Contraptions than Pharros' Lockstone in the game, here you should think a little if u really wanna use one
Sweet work on the bosses. Thats the right way to fight in these games. Keep that form and you are ready for sekiro.
You can use repair powder to bring the durability of a weapon at risk back to 100%. But, from memory, repair powder repairs the weapon in your right hand, so you might have to stop and switch over your staff to repair it. Breaking weapons is a feature that only ds2 really did. In ds1 and demon’s souls you could safely ignore it and i cant remember if weapon repairs was even a thing in ds3.
