My theory is that there are two “sides” to the lifestream. Zack is alive in one but died in the one Cloud and friends are currently in. Aerith and Marlene are aware of both sides because they are ancients (maybe they’ll elaborate on Marlene’s mom a bit in this one). The reason Marlene says when Aerith wakes up a man will kill her is because she will be killed in our side and wake up in theirs where Zack and Biggs are alive…which begs the question. How powerful is Marlene !? If she can be conscious on both sides while Aerith is sleeping in one but awake and aware in the other…only able to catch small glimpses of the other side when compared to Marlene’s apparent full consciousness in both? Or maybe she’s sleeping on our side when she is talking to Zack in that scene 😊

This looks so freaking beautiful…I've LOVED Aerith since I was 12 years old, just her look was always so soft and comforting, I always wanted to be her or have her as my friend. I'm SO stoked at the chance to have her story be changed, and potentially get to be happy with Zack after all (and maybe Cloud too! Multiverses and all, ooh I hope I hope!) My husband reminds me more of Zack than cloud anyway, big golden retriever energy, lol. I'm so ready to take an entire week off from work to just sit and enjoy this masterpiece when it drops in February!

Just breathtaking, the cinematic scenes behind this beautiful song is incredible. The details are unbelievable. Look at the scene when Aerith started singing, all Barret, RED XIII and Cait Sith were moving part of their body behind the stage enjoying while Cloud stood till and completely fell into Aerith. It does transfer Cloud's underlying feeling to the audience.
I beg Jessie, a character not many people care prior to REMAKE, is now hitting our hearts and many of us await her destiny in this new chapter.
REBIRTH escalates the original story of FF7 to a new high which no one could ever imagine 25 years ago. What a trailer what a trailer. Hats off to Square ENIX

Ya’ll have turned my girl into Snow White. She was already Female Jesus but that wasn’t enough for the FF7 Remake Squad.
Aerith Gainsborough use to be one of my favorite Final Fantasy 7 characters in the original game but Remake Aerith I do not like. And Rebirth Aerith I’m starting to hate. She knows more than she should and she’s become more gifted and talented than she ever was. And it’s super-effing annoying!
But that isn’t all. You have my boy Cid offering to specifically help Aerith anyway that he can. Which makes Cid seem completely out of character.
All of this has transformed Aerith Gainsborough into a Video Game Mary Sue!
My enthusiasm to play Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has honestly diminished greatly because of this Theme Song Trailer.
Which is something that I never expected to happen. I was looking forward to experiencing for myself what’s gonna remain the same and what’s gonna be changed in it. But this trailer revealed practically all of that!
So there’s not much reason now for me to even wanna play this game anymore.

My mom always loved final fantasy 7 (her favorite zack) and well i guess she won't bee seeing this anymore..she passed away march 2023… sigh sometimes i wish she could enjoy all these new trailers. The last thing she said before she passed away was "i am waiting for the new final fantasy 7 so i could see Zack"
