  1. For all the people mentioning Fear & Hunger. I played it in like 2019 before it was cool and was planning to do a video on it around the time I did La Mulana, but then it got popular and now I'm not so interested in covering something several others have already.

  2. I love weird games so much. They aren't always good but I like it when people have an idea that's a bit outside the box and they go for it. I feel like that's how we do sometimes get weird games that are good, or sometimes someone sees a new idea and is able to do their own iteration of it until it IS good. Either way, I think its really refreshing.

  3. I-uh… think this is what 4chan means by "weaponised autism"? I am seriously confused as a creator myself, not necessarily in a bad way, but confused all the same.

  4. Dosh, you should check out "Lunacid", it's a game inspired by kings field (dark souls grandpa), aka "everything is fucked", while simultaneously being a bit of a weeb game, for NPC characters there are weirdly cute, tho it doesn't matter much, cos the meat of the game is gameplay which is fire, you should try it out, or at least watch some reviews before you do that, and yes, i know, there's underrail dlc just dropped, but the game is quite short (around 8-10 hours to finnish), and yes, its insanely cryptic at times, and yes, you can sequence break it a bit by using "barrier" spell, it doesn't mind much and i love it, and i think you'd love it too

  5. Superb work, man, your efforts in playing and understanding the dev, the games and the ideas he's trying to convey are unparalleled.

  6. you might like tamashii and teocida. those are also very dark, surreal games with a strong focus on atmosphere but their gameplay is much tighter and relevant

  7. Utterly gorgeous artwork in these games. I genuinely hope they could get a small team to help out one day.

  8. Ты ебнутый 😀 И судя по всему, единственный кто прошел эти три первые игры полностью.

  9. It's fascinating looking into what the thought process of creating these games could be. This is what proves that games are art, the ability for random people you never heard of to create utterly unusual and cryptic experiences that are anathema to mainstream game design that you find out about through pure chance.

  10. Not going to lie, a lot of the games does indeed resemble living in Lithuania: the colours are drab and washed out, there are some beautiful sights to see, yet the actual act of getting around and doing something is a pain. Everyone's depressed and sounds like someone else is writing their dialogue.

  11. The protagonist in mirage of dragon kind of reminds me of the stranger from darkwood. Same heavy clothing and messed up face.

  12. Had you slowed the recording of the Death Screen down in D1986?
Flashes names of certain Demon Seals from the Ars Goetia… I recognize the symbols however I’m in mobile at the moment an cannot do so my self @DoshDoshington

  13. Wúnderbar! I particularly love the influence of Zdzisław Beksiński on each game's art style. If anything, it's the audio visual experience that will get me to play each of these games.

  14. I just wanna say that you helped me in stopping my addiction to league of legends with that random bit in the middle of this awosome video.
    thank you.

  15. I hate H.P. Lovecraft Fans so much it's unreal. Whoever came up with the currently accepted interpretation of Lovecraft should be made illiterate through a terminator robot so he never makes a reddit account and starts this meme.

  16. Writing this after only seeing the first part but what an incredible idea for a rivalry with the dragon. If still kept obscure but refined some parts, i think that kind of story has enormous potential

  17. Subbed the moment you acknowledged this gamedev's pure commitment to art in making a Simon's Quest fanfic. You say insightful stuff, friend.

  18. Fun video just wondering how much of a headache do you get for talking like this. Was this voice a choice? I cant get through a third without questioning why im putting myself through that

    Great video

  19. Equus is the genus for horses. I only know cuz of the equus in Ark: Survival Evolved, another 'ark' coincidentally. 'Dragon' originally referred to any great serpent, but also implied a kind of knowing/enlightenment. Kind of the og Cthulhu. There's definitely a deeper meaning w stuff here.

  20. Bloody Mary was a nickname given to Mary I of England. Namely because she had so many ppl burned at the stake. First woman to successfully claim the throne of England too.
