    Real talk, Dark Souls 2 has a lot of annoying design choices BUT it's not terrible. It just has so many siblings (Dark Souls, DS3, BB, Elden Ring, etc) that outshine it. Personally, it has my favorite worldbuilding and aesthetic of the franchise. The best way to play it is the original release with the DLC because Scholar adds and changes loads of things that actually made the game worse unless you're playing co op.

    I always love your editing additions! All the little touches like zooming, the little animations you put in! They don't go unnoticed! They really show that effort and care and give me the sense that you must be having fun while editing and maybe even laughing to yourself lol

    Looking forward to watching this! I've been caught up in Elden Ring but I lowkey miss this game, rough edges and all. You're gonna love it if you enjoyed Dark Souls. No it's not the best Dark Souls game but it's a far cry from the worst game ever made too.

    While I'm not a fan of every mechanic of this game, I think the vibe and aesthetic of this one is my favorite of the Souls games. The thing about DS2 is it was VERY experimental. Some things really landed, and some things really did not. Hyped!

    Just got into the Souls games recently and am about halfway through DS2 at the moment. Honestly, I think a lot of the dislike of the game is fans being whiney. As you'll see, it's not without its issues (neither is the first one) but it's still a solid game, and I love that it's not afraid of being different to the first one.

    Safe to say i've had it up to my limit with DS2 haters. They just never stop and are so overly-dramatic about it. Glad you're playing it, though.

    This is the only souls game i didn't beat multiple times to get every ending
    And that says a lot
    Its pretty fun and i enjoyed it more than ds3
    But some areas are not worth it

    I'm really glad you're playing this. It definitely has its problems, and of all the modern FromSoft games it has BY FAR the most unfair bullshittery, BUT… it also has a lot of really beautiful areas to explore, fantastic boss designs, really cool concepts, and just overall there is a lot in this game that is actually really interesting and worth experiencing. I hope you tough it out, because some parts of it are quite the slog. It would also be really interesting to see you get to the DLC areas of the game. They are BY FAR the best part of this game, but they are also PRETTY hard. Aside from The Ringed City (that's from Dark Souls 3), I'd say the DLC areas of this game are probably hands down the hardest in any of the modern FromSoft games. That was how it was for ME at least.
