A couple years ago I tried pvp in Infernoplus's mod (it removed instant backstabs among other things) and it proved to me that, when both people aren't just mindlessly circle strafing each other for an autowin, Dark Souls 1 probably has the best pvp. It's kind of like Dark Souls 3 but magic isn't trash, poise actually exists and the meta isn't utterly dominated by oneshot builds and status effects like in Elden Ring. It's kind of sad how Fromsoft's second attempt at souls pvp was so close to perfect but utterly ruined by one mechanic that ended up consuming the entire pvp scene.
I can confirm that bloodborne pvp is still going, was dueling all last night at 120 and 75 with friends and randoms in the frontier. did a few duels in a pvp arena chalice. its dying but it's not dead yet.
I wish they'd bring Demon Souls and Bloodborne to PC. With that being said Bloodborne was my first Fromsoft game, and so far I'd say it has been the best PvP experience. Elden Ring looks really cool, but I see some real chicken mechanics in it. To the point it's really unfun and unfair for invaders. And that's really one of the main and best features of all the Soulsborne games. Getting invaded and either getting dunked on, or just truck stick who invaded you. I'm having fun in Dark Souls 1 remastered. Those twinks and their builds though the only real negative I have.

Man I miss 2011-2015 peak Ds1 pvp. Back when I couldn’t get anyone to touch darksouls with a 10 foot pole lmfao. Ngl ds1 had the best community and was the most fun playing with my brother. YouTubers like jblackmel with his chill commentary, darksouls mindseye with his crazy pyro invasions or even peeve with his crazy ass no scope bowshots. Played all the souls games and none really compare to how fun ds1 was man especially community wise. Players seemed to be a lot more unique back then.
I understand you ran through the whole game and got all the upgrade materials you need to shit on lower level players. You are what makes dark souls invasions so great.
