this was the most unlikely choice that it got added in angry birds 2 he's powerful but what killing own species is pretty strange for a angry birds game

Headcanon: Leonard was overthrown by his son King Smoothcheeks (The king pig from Angry Birds Toons), as his truce with the birds was seen as a betrayal. Meanwhile Gary and Courtney were likely exhiled as well.
Leonard was locked up in a black cage, as were Stella, Hal, Bubbles and Melody later on. Once freed, he vowed to get revenge on his son and overthrow him, siding with the birds he had made peace with.
