The biggest disappointment is that Ys IX has no opening..
They had something really good going on when Ys VIII had an anime opening with incredible music, why couldn't they do the same with Ys IX?!

なお、自分はイース8から始めた人間です。イースは中後半端な古株RPGとして食わず嫌いしていた自分が馬鹿だった。

Underrated game series. That also goes for their other games as well. And its like the Tales of series and Persona or Shin megami tensei series they all need more attention and love.

Ys 2 opening is so creative. It's not just a mix of quick cuts, it also has a very cool suspense build-up and omg, that lightning at 5:01.
Uhhh, you didn't start with 1987 at all. That's pretty misleading. The oldest original game you have here is Ys VI, everything else is remakes so there's nothing here from 1987.
the newer ones use so much flat colours, ys1 has more shading lol. how did music go from upbeat to slow??

I understand people can have different taste in gaming, but I just can't help but feel sorry for gamers who have not even tried Ys or Trails games. They are missing out on one of the best jrpg series of all time. These games resonate so much with me and I love every moment of it.
Say what you will about JRPGs. Ys is one of the greatest gaming series, bar none. A 35+ year legacy with excellent music no matter what the game.
