  1. What a ride peeps <3 Thank you all for being here and tagging along on this adventure,
I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did and well you already know what's next

  2. Let’s go we made it past the storm that is dark souls 2. Can’t wait to see where you go with your channel next and I’m even more hyped for your ds3 play through

  3. I had not a lot of time to keep up with eeeverything but did he mention anything about playing Demon Souls? I'm quite sure that others would have mentioned it to him already.

  4. You crushed it bro, I'm glad you liked DS2, I completely agree with your summary. I put this game off for so long because of all the bad reviews and I actually loved it. Can't wait for DS3 and Sekiro.. I just finished Sekiro for the first time, and it is definitely a different beast, but once you get used to it, it's super fun. Stoked to see more Mati. You're killing it.

  5. something you missed, there's a secret in aldias keep if you light up some specific torches, just do that and then return to the entrance

  6. Can't wait for Dark Souls 3! I watched all of your Elden RIng, Bloodborne and Dark Souls gameplays, but I admit I didn't watch this series because I never finished DS2, I didn't like it as much, but Dark Souls 3 might be my favorite game of all time

  7. Yo dude, I sadly didnt follow ur ds2 playthrough because I still wanna play it someday and wanted to avoid spoilers but Im really glad u enjoyed it! I cant wait for ds3 bro trust me if u were disappointed by the bosses and the music in ds2 then ds3 is gonna blow u away! Ds3 has by far the best Bosses in the series imo and has some of the best OST's in video game history. I will definetly follow ur ds3 playthrough again, I missed ur videos 🙂

  8. Another classic series! Glad you enjoyed the game all in all, its definatly the worst one of all the dark souls games but not a bad game. Just… weird design choises.

  9. I'm looking forward to you experiencing the pinnacle and finale of the souls trilogy with DS3, 😄 I love the trilogy as a whole and watching you play through them is a treat.

  10. I just finished my first playthrough of DS 2 and it blew my mind i missed some stuff and its been hours of gameplay just to end so quick i accidently beat it i guess because i was trying to follow some lore then i went through the door at the castle and didnt expect it to end. Overall it was a great game! Alot of challenging sections and the punishment for making mistakes was really interesting kept me learning wish theyd make a DS 4 with some of this games mechanics! Overall a A- game if it got a remaster and updated it to 2023 standards itd be a A+ easily!

Edit: i just felt like i missed some stuff so im gonna have to go back after i beat the new Zelda game lol😂

  11. Just stumbled upon your channel, excited to tag along and subscribe 🤝🏼

  12. Imagine if "The cat is telling me to take the throne." was taken out of context lol.

  13. If you compare it to the other Fromsoftware games its not as good, but it is still a Fromsoftware game. And Fromsoftware games are always a cut above most other games, so I'll gladly take it.

  14. My favourite Soul, I ended all in order from 1 to 3 and this is the best of all, dlc are nearly perfect but ADP is so crap idea, start is so unfair, the locked health bar at half and the Pursuer so early frustrate so much but when you pass that the game is so fun, enjoyable and so nice… but is a Masterpiece, with some fixing of that will get 10 points, for me is 9,5 well deserved.

PD: recently finished 2nd time with dual Katanas and Hex ended with lvl 223 farmed a lot and did some bosses in NG2 and NG3 with ascetics.. 2nd time and more you absolutely love this game ❤

  15. Pausing the video at 24:10 looks kinda funny, ngl. XD

Congrats on beating the game, Mati! I know I'm late, but can't wait to dive into DS3 with you! 🙂

  16. I think it's very often the question if a certain athmosphere catches you personally or not.
For me… I just love it how the world of DS2 is made, the atmosphere, the music, the weird beauty.
…and I find DS1 pretty ugly in comparison.
I played through DS1 once, but DS2 I finished 5 or 6 times, inclucding NG+ and stuff, and it's not the end yet.
    DS2: Still my favorite.
(DS3 is pretty cool as well)

  17. Just finished your DS3 playthrough and was curious about your thoughts on DS2 (might watch the whole series at some point, but it is a bit of a chore to get through).

I think I’m pretty much on the same page as you with this game. There is a lot to love, especially in the DLC, but so much of the game is bland, boxy levels, overstuffed with over-aggressive enemies, leading to mediocre boss fights. I do appreciate the creativity in much of the enemy and world design and how it tried to shake up the formula a bit, even if it’s actual structure and mechanics leaves a lot to be desired.

I also think that the game generally gets better as it goes along. But that also makes it so the first few hours are the toughest to get through and feel the most unfair with all the BS. For this reason, I quit the first time I tried and skipped to DS3. I eventually went back after Sekiro, but it took a good while before I was actually having fun with the game (though I eventually did). I think this part of the reason there can be so much hate and vitriol for this title.

Anyway, I haven’t commented much in the past, but I really have enjoyed all your playthroughs and am looking forward to you continuing your From Soft adventures (hopefully with Sekiro since I haven’t had the chance to play Demon’s Souls yet).

  18. Amazing series and so glad you don’t completely hate it. DS2 has an amazing story and some really unique locations. The lore is incredible too. It’s been a blast sharing it with you. Thank you. Onwards…

  19. Those pigs while Mati tries to talk to a lady XDD they even hit her a few times she could have died to two pigs XD

  20. It's not the end of DS2.
Somewhere in Drangleic castle hiding the secret couple mini-bosses, witch is extremely hard to succeed without cheating. Just watch them on to NG+.
Or you can put some shit to first bonfire, for fire up it 😉

  21. I actually attempted playing dark souls 2 blindly after playing dark souls 1 and I rage quitted for 3 months at the forest of the giants because I kept being overwhelmed by mobs but then I saw some basic info's and rage quitted again at the iron keep area but managed to finish the game evantually with a roller-coaster of emotions. I relate to the hate on this souls game because if you play it completely blind you will absolutely hate it lol

  22. I pretty much agree with everything you have said even if i disagree. The the game is talked like it's some sort of torture, but while having jarring problems and being probably the worst of the dark souls it's still incredible compared to other things. It needs to be said though your experience was vastly different from the guys who played it a launch, many things got patched (the ancient dragon's fire, shrine of amana, much more). Also as you said knowing of adaptability changed completely the game, one who is blind first thing will raise hps, staminas, and weapons requirement / as well as favorite magic stat before even approaching adaptability. If you are curious and eventually decide to do another run (not here on youtube, just for yourself), try to not touch it and you will see how much frustrating it is to be without invincibility frames in a game with the worst phantom hitboxes in the series. Seriously everytime someone swings down a sword it hits the area around it like it's a road sign. Either way you seem like a very chill and objective guy, it's very apreciated, good luck with current projects.

  23. Idk if someone else already said it but you can fight aldia in vanilla dark souls 2 it was added via patch at some point

  24. This series was a great let's play, very entertaining. I sought out your channel when it apppeared that the other youtubers I follow who are currently playing through the series were going to skip DS2, which I feel is underrated. I'm glad I found your channel, this was quite a ride. I do wish you would've beaten the giant dragon and the two pets in the frozen hellscape, but it's fine. On to Dark Souls 3!
