The pulley system within the bows could also imply that Miquella helped to craft the Lifts of Rold and Dectus.
A set of crackpot theories could also argue these names relate to "Roll of the Dice" (Rold) and "Deck of Cards" (Dectus) as symbols of Fate, and they allow a user to Transcend from the Earth to the Altus Plateau to the Consecrated Snowfields (Which, seeing as it is home to the "fire giants", might be an allegory for the Heavens where the Stars (aka fire giants) reside, which would explain why they were in close neighbors to the Astralogians, who would gaze into the primeval currents.
Altus Plateau being between so-called "Heaven" and "Earth"… would make it the Lands Between the Lands Between.

I really like everything that you do, top-notch content here, but man, really, who the f*** can afford those books? I mean, I've got a great copy of Lovecraft's complete writings that I bought from Barnes & Nobles for less than 25$, and that's just an example. I get that a small publishing house can't sell its products for such a low price, but come on, this is absurd.
I feel the pulley weapons could also have been something invented by Gideon. He's the "all-knowing" and knowns Golden Order spells and the like.
