I bet there’s some poor soul out there who never knew about the helmet and was just wearing it for fashion when they hit the DLC. Just in the forums like “What the actual hell is FromSoft thinking with this Fume Knight?!”
I used to slip Velstadt's helmet on during the fight when I was summoned in to help people lol. For some reason I found the one big ass flaming sword easier to dodge than the dual swords
It’s cool that he commits sepuku if you basically dishonor him by proving him an incompetent warrior. I watched a no hit run and just assumed the boss does that as a cool death animation.
Actually the Fume knight's second phase is easier than the first, I was struggling until I decided to wear Velstad's helmet and I just had to learn the second phase attack pattern
My friend wore the veldstat helm for Fume knight only because I told him he hated it, dude said even better and refused to wear different armor. I even told him he starts the fight as phase two (phase two has to come eventually) he says. Madlad
This is the worst game I've ever played in my entire life Elden ring was the second because those games are not souls games those are knockoffs made by the actual company I like an off-brand made by the brand
I think the Fume Knight fight is actually much easier when he starts in phase 2. Then you don’t have to devote muscle memory to rolling through two different phase play styles, at two different speeds.
During my first alone fight I ran there, got the shit beat out of me by every enemy and barely had any health but I got a flawless on him. Had no clue that was a fucking secret, so cool tho.

That second one was really cool. I’ll never been seeing it in-game though.

Sir alonne was so hard that i mastered the runback and the boss and then i did it hitless I didn't realize that but i saw him commit seppuku
Honestly, that’s a really cool detail

Wish I knew the first one. 2nd phase was much easier for me.

I put the helmet on intentionally to get some extra attacks in early on. As for the second fact… Good luck with that one.
luckily phase 2 is easier than phase 1, when i was going through all the dlc again i would activate phase 2 and then change helmet
Nice of you to make videos about the best one in the franchise
I love Fromsoft
I wear it on purpose so i don't need learn 2 movements its a good strategy
