  1. We're going to need a video solely about the summons and invaders at some point, with an entire section for Patches

  2. I still feel like I killed watchers faster with an irithyll straight sword

  3. There's something very poetic about beating the final boss of the series with the Moonlight Greatsword.

  4. This is weirdly melancholic to watch, I’m going to miss new episodes of the souls franchise, I look forwards to what comes next in Eldenring

  5. fun fact! i almost killed yhorm the giant on my first save before i ever learned that he was a gimmick boss that died in like 7 hits

  6. You call it dragon form i call it gnnnaaaaaaa

DS3 is my favourite of the bunch, it and BB are the peak of the series, elden ring can't match due to aesthetics lore and progression being botched.

  7. My first time beating the game I wore the Seigward helm with the Exile greatsword. I am even more invested in this run now

  8. Damn, stomped The Abyss Watchers and I hardly noticed the phase change. While not a very hard boss they are one of my Top 3 Soulsborne Bosses just for the music and aesthetic alone.

  9. I don’t know if you’ve been recommended this. But another one of the “Souls Series” is Sekiro Shadows Die Twice. It’s made by FromSoftware and is a neat curveball to the generic Dark Souls series you might enjoy. Take care Dan and thanks for the laughs!

  10. I wonder how long it'll take him to realize that he can cast a moonlight slash with the moonlight great sword using L2

  11. I love these series so much. They're endlessly entertaining and a great story of the community you've fostered. Well-done.

  12. This’ll be buried in other comments but this series inspired me to try a souls like game for the first time, and so I recently beat Elden Ring! Thanks RT for your content and introducing me to a great game

  13. The last words of the Dark Souls series: He has become John Dark Souls.

I wouldn’t have it any other way.

  14. Just some clarification on some questionable lore comments RT makes for anyone who's curious:
Aldrich is from Irithyll, not the painted world. RT says it's from the painted world because in the item description of one of Aldrich's transposition items, it's implied that Aldrich had visions of Crossbreed Priscilla, an inhabitant of the painted world of Ariamis. Note: the reason why Aldrich has visions of Priscilla is most likely that she's a (distant, exiled) relative of Gwyndolin, the god that Aldrich is devouring. There's another half-dragon (Company Captain Yorshka) related to the gods whose dialogue lends some support to this idea.
Dark Souls 3's story was set in motion because none of the lords of cinder wanted to link the fire, not just Lothric; Ludleth is too weak and failed in his duties right before the game starts, the abyss watchers are corrupted by the abyss and unable to do anything more than hold it at bay (wow just like Artorias imagine that), Aldrich has its own plan for the world and declines to link the flame, and Yhorm is totally heartbroken and demotivated. As for Lothric, he just wants to flame to fade because of incest. The player character is canonically a total weak bitch compared to the lords and needs to build up before making any sort of an attempt, and is basically press-ganged into service in a last-minute bid to revive the world, hence why you're only ever addressed as a lord of cinders near the end, and for the most part are called "unkindled ash, unfit to etc and so forth".

  15. No matter how many years pass. I will always have a soft spot for the Soul of Cinder.

  16. I hated the Abyss Watchers the first time, but grew to love them.
That kind of hurts to watch now, you damn Abyss man.

  17. Dan trying to draw Aggro with the spell that doesn’t draw aggro is the most on brand thing I’ve ever seen

  18. ahh, what a ride. thought i have only one little spoilery thing to say. so ds3 spoilers ahead. you been warned.

the ending you got, is IMO not a secret ending, mostly because its one of the the three main endings, and has a achievment linked to it. for the couris sort, the three ending are
    1. link the flame; just go throught the game, as you please, but dont give the firekeeper her eyes
    2. lord of hollows; this is the ending RT got, and requires you to max out your dark sigils throught and mostly, complet anri's questline. (as seen in this video
    3. the end of fire; ggo thought the game, give the firekeeper eye, and summon her after the Soul of cinder.

there is a secret, none achivemnt linked ending, a alter of the end of fire ending, where you take the first flame, from the firekeeper and, well the rest is up to entepretation.
