Maybe she will show up as a possible encounter that will give players who are hoarding literal tons of money in case something comes up. Honestly I would love a scene where you are given an "impossible price on something she sells or a debt you have incurred and her shocked reaction that you can casually pay it.
Fun fact, her creator is named Michelle Fus (her maiden name changed after undertale came out) and she's an incredible artist with her own webcomic! makes sense that muffet is so beloved, she's designed by someone who really knows their stuff
Since Muffet is not present during the True Pacifist ending in Undertale, or at least I don’t know she might pop up😅 but I reckon she kept trying to bridge the connection from the Ruins spiders to the Hotland spiders and ignored everything around her, like her dialogue about Alyphs in the Genocide Route, or it’s because every character in the Deltarune intro appeared more than once except for Bratty & Catty (if you didn’t do any of the Asshole Routes or the Genocide Route.) Garson is also mentioned, but it’s such a small Easter egg, I would guess that this was in an Asshole Route where you skipped Geronimo (whatever the fuck his name is).

No its pretty definitely the Kickstarter explanation. :/ It would be at the very least incredibly inconsiderate of Toby to add her without the creators consent, if he can contact them at all and at most probably put him in trouble. He could also just not have any important or considered role for her and thus not want to include her.
