  1. OK then, just one question. How can it be a complete soundtrack without Small Two Of Pieces, Hmm? I mean, that's like the main theme running throughout the whole game!

  2. Played this 1998/1999 when I was just a 13/14 year old.. now in 2022 with Chrono Cross having a remastered version. Still wishing my dream of a remastered or remake version will be made a reality by Square…

  3. such an amazing game and story. Wish they had continued the xenogears universe and not the xenosaga or xenoblade.

  5. for a 13 year old kid who had only ever played Sonic and Crash Bandicoot, this game was a wild ride. i was absolutely not prepared

  6. As someone who only recently played this game, I can feel it’s legacy so strongly in modern RPGs. Whether it be in how this game influenced the biggest JRPG ever (FF7), to the continuing efforts of Monolith Soft to keep iterating on the Perfect Works storyline, to the general edge and psychology it brought to RPGs. This game deserves to have itself be finished fully, in some way.

  7. I bought this based solely on the cover art back in the day. Thank God for that because it is the best game I've ever played. I'll still play through it from time to time on my psp.

  8. Stage of Death almost became literal when I listened to this soundtrack at 100%.

  9. This is my favorite game of all time. Thank you for posting this it was so much fun. The combat system is amazing.

  11. i miss hanging with my friends Devraj, Chad and Andrew watching each other play this game.

  12. The story line was more hardcore as expected. The part when they discover that human meat in a can was a real thing… gave me shiver to my spine. This game was on another level.

  13. This soundtrack gives me goosebumps. I don't know how they never remastered and finished this game.

  14. Its all so good but Bonds of Sea and Fire really hits me in the feels every time.

  15. XG should be given the VII Remake treatment, expanding all the places and plot points that were cut and using an action battle system on foot while a turn-based system in gear just to contrast the speed of on-foot characters with the colossal weight, power and sheer majesticness of the Gears.
If there are two games that should be revived, it's Xenogears and Final Fantasy 8.

  16. Its almost heartbreaking I cant relive my experience playing this at 12 y.o.

  17. Xenogears and Panzer Dragoon Saga are my fav RPGs from the Saturn/PS1 era.
