good to have this series back!
I've been waiting for this!
Lol the Nora always frustrated me as well
I respect Tiersa so much for stating clearly that something was beyond her understanding. Too many people double down and get angry when their understanding of something is in question.
here for this being a 40-50 part series, with 2000 dr mick interjections bahaha
Without spoilers, I love how Ryan himself fell into the trap of inductive reasoning when speaking about Teersa's understanding of the All-Mother when he himself was lacking important context regarding major points of the world's lore.
I know you play on easy for the story purposes, but the game is so much fun on a more difficult modes
52:13 I’ve been looking for that damn power cell. I never explored the mountain or googled its location.
Holy shit. I don't remember this game being so dark
An added dimension to her conversation with Kesh is that she has already learned that the attack was precipitated by her participation in the proving.
Ryan, thank you for amazing episode! Love your play throughs so much!
P.s: don’t forget to level Aloy up, you will have more abilities to fight and do stuff 😊
Maybe whether or not you have grandchildren and great grandchildren shouldn't be the only deciding metric for leadership? ¯_(ツ)_/¯
What a ridiculous system. Not only does that in no way test a person for even basic competence, it's a factor that's literally two or three degrees of separation from every matriarch. Like… what?!
Can’t wait for the next one!
Grazers are more analogous to deer than chickens… but yes, there's a huge gap between basic hunter skills and the skill set necessary to braves, who are the Nora equivalent of standing military. Aloy was raised to the full standard of brave by Rost, who was himself one once. Vala probably had equivalent training, given who her mother is. Most of the rest of them were probably anticipating training AFTER the proving, the same way a high schooler expects to go through Basic after they sign their enlistment forms and pass the intake evaluations when joining the military.
1:39:52 Teersa actually give Aloy mark of seeker DrMick
I cried the first time I saw that scene to the moment you described it, idk why I can relate to fiction so well
'This happened because you sinned' is a way to sell people on the idea that if they do not sin, bad things won't happen to them. That creates the illusion that they can control their lives and protect themselves through right behavior.
