Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has made its goal to deliver an extremely compelling narrative involving The Black Suit, where Insomniac will be “delving into Peter’s personal relationship with the Symbiote and how it affects those closest to him.” While Harry Osborn seemed to be the go-to host for the Venom symbiote, the newest gameplay demo seems to indicate otherwise. Venom is everywhere
I don't mind if Peter loses himself and goes venom mode for a bit and Miles has to stop him. But I'm personally going to be disappointed or at least have mixed feelings if venom is anyone other than Eddie Brock. Heck they can even save Eddie Brock venom for the next game. As long as we get him at some point I'm happy. I also really want a Carnage storyline with Cletus Kasady at some point as well. Carnage hasn't really been done justice in any form of media before outside of the comics. The closest we got was the 90's cartoon but they had to really tone down his evil murderous nature in that show since it was for kids. Insomniac Spiderman has the chance here to do Carnage right for the first time ever in any form of media.
Imagine you play as miles Spider-Man, taking down Peter as venom in queens at the football field, it dark and raining and we get a back shot of miles facing venom (aka peter) while the tendrils lift up venom ready to attack us, a call back to when Peter was facing doc oc with his mechanical tentacles raising him up
Im sorry but if none of the venom interactions are at night ion want it.. just playing i see multiple playthroughs in my future
It’d be sick if they implemented a boss fight that’s twofold. Like say, you play as Miles battling Venom-Peter in the church trying to pry the suit off of him.
Meanwhile, you could switch to Peter fighting off the Symbiote in the famous dream sequence trying to regain control and all of this culminating to the bell scene at the final phase. Further emphasizing the idea of “Be Greater. Together.” =)
I think Venom will be playable through Spiderman because what can top the reveal of venom and the black suit Spiderman??? VENOM BEING PLAYABLE!! I believe it

Harry could still end up as venom, Harry is still sick so maybe Peter gives it back to him out of the tank and it fully over takes him, and goes after bc he gave him up. I think it’s a disservice to peters character to not have to fight venom. Although I do hope we fight peter in the black suit

The game demo is amazing. I can't wait to see how this game will turn out to be. But i dont want peter to be the main or final antagonist. I think a boss fight between miles and peter would be amazing. But somewhere in between before either eddie or Harry takes it back. Cause i kinda wanna see a co-op fight against venom.

That line would hurt if said by Insomniac’s Peter as he realizes the true nature of the symbiote before it takes over. Then cue a switch to Miles as we fight Venom, his mentor, his friend…gives me chills, man. If they go this route, I expect the symbiote will eventually disband from Peter and move to someone else, probably Eddie. As we saw recently, we heard the voice actor for Miles say Venom is “everywhere”. It could be Harry, it could be Peter- maybe both. Maybe it’s Eddie after Peter, or Miles gets it at some point. There’s just so many possibilities and my brain is literally overloading. If this is truly a “Web of Shadows 2” situation, what if Black Cat gets it at some point? I’m short circuiting.
Or maybe its going to be like web of shadows just like somehow harry symboite just luke symboite vs symboite venom and that's all who knows just like we did in web of shadows
I think it’d be even more sad and more of a powerful story if after a miles vs Peter venom boss fight the symbiote bonded to miles and took him over completely and then Peter has to save miles
I have been MIA since your talks about the Original Marvel Spider-Man and quit watching much from that point on, but just wanted to chime in to this vid. If your theory is correct, I hope that version can be played at end game otherwise, seems like a waste. Also, didn’t want much more spoiled. Even though I don’t have a ps5 and pretty much fell out of gaming, I may get this one at some point, if not watch your (streams) videos when it comes out.
It will be Peter vs Miles and Miles will help Peter get off the symbiote with his bio electric powers….
In classic insomniac fashion the main villain will have a connection to both Peter and miles and his alter ego ( Harry or Eddie Brock) will be introduced in the very beginning just like phin mason and Doctor Octavius in the first 2 games. After all insomniac make the best stories where our heroes worlds collide with their human counterparts.

My theory is he will realize he isn’t physically able to take down Spider-Man on his own (he’s still strong and will be a challenge though) and bonds with the symbiote to become strong enough to fight them
Miles vs Peter would be a heartbreaking fight, but what everyone we're waiting is also Peter vs Venom.

If Peter becomes venom how tf are we gonna get the classic story of him eventually removing it that’s such a big part of the black suit story they wouldn’t just make him venom insomniac has always stayed classic to all the villians in their respective roles they wouldn’t make miles alone fight venom it would be better with two of them

My prediction is after that mission that they showed in the demo, Miles and Ganke will do a few solo missions trying to find peters location, meanwhile.
Peter is in the sewers trying to find the Lizard, they fight a bit but the boss fight is interrupted by Kraven
"Will one of you finally give me what i desire?" Throwing a flash grenade at the two which causes the lizard to escape, Peter is angry because he lost his chance at saving Harry and starts to change into venom and says "Yes we will" Kraven is then shook in fear as his being pulled by Venom, Peter is about to tear him to bits but miles kicks him in the face, starting the actual boss fight, Since this game will be darker i thought of some messed up dialogue like Venom taunting Miles for not being able to save Phin and his dad, They clash on until venom hurts miles which causes peter to be conscious again and feeling extremely sorry for what he said and did but miles doesn't want to hear it, then we get a similar scene where peter tries to take off the suit somewhere idk this last part im to lazy to make something up im not a director

This game doesn't look that good. Quite underwhelming actually. They literally set up The Green Goblin to be the next villain. It really is frustrating when something is set up and then the writers forget about it.

While I think it's going to fall on Miles to fight Peter, I don't see any way for Miles to beat symbiote powered Peter in a straight 1v1. He's going to need some serious help. And i suspect Peter will snap out of the symbiotes influence enough to at least not kill Miles.
I wouldn’t mind this as long as someone else like Eddie or Harry becomes the main venom. They shouldn’t make Peter the main venom because then he just becomes the villain and that would be upsetting. If Peter becomes Venom for a bit, he has to be the one to take it off, not Miles. It’s all about perspective – If Miles forces Peter out of the symbiote, Peter’s and the audience’s sense of triumph, strength, and accomplishment will be diminished, undermined, and unsatisfying. Peter needs to be the one who ultimately decides whether or not to keep the symbiote or else there’s nothing to be learned from a character growth/progression viewpoint.
Do I believe Peter becomes Venom? No do I think we’ll fight Peter yeah but he won’t be Venom wouldn’t make sense

What we know:
Harry is dying
Kraven wants to fight/hunt someone challenging in New York. Symbiote Peter vs Kraven fight will likely happen
Lizard is on the loose who they are chasing to save from Kraven it seems. Also to have Dr. Conners help with Harry's condition ( cancer I assume)
Peter's behavior with symbiote is no different than the comics. He becomes more dark and a dick. Gameplay looks like Web of Shadows spideman
Miles has an ability of shocking so that could remove the symbiote from Peter so having Peter staying as "venom" is not likely.
Peter being Venom is a possibility but not likely unless insomniac trying to be edgy. It would be a plot twist like killing of May. They will make Peter Venom if they want Miles as the main spiderman which would be a slap in the face.
Anyone can be Venom and that's the point. We are not supposed to know which comic/show/movie or original interpretation they will go with. If a new person takes on Venom character…my vote is Kraven the hunter.
Also where is Green Goblin? I'm assuming he will be in here too…I mean since we are making shit up lmao
Story takes elements from the comics…I don't see anything that points at Peter being true Venom.
I think that at some point in the story he and miles are going to argue to a point where a fight breaks out. Peter nearly kills Miles, making him realize how dangerous the symbiote is. With help from Miles, they get the symbiote off and it gets onto an unsuspecting Eddie Brock.
No Peter is not gonna be venom. He's gonna be a jerk like u see in the gameplay and in Bully maguire from spiderman 3 where he goes too far and realizes the symbiote needs to go which it will attach to someone else to become Venom. Plus in the trailer u see Peter and Miles side by side looking at venom.
Hasn’t there been leaks though say there’s going to be Eddie Brock walking sims in the game
