Call of Duty: World at War is WAY better than I initially thought it was. After replaying it on stream, I found so many more things I loved about it that I didn’t mention or elaborate on in my first review. So I decided to give it another go, because World at War is the MOST Brutal Call of Duty game ever released.

Historical videogames have often been criticized for being disrespectful of the people who fought in them, but WaW is an example of an anti war piece of entertainment. It's the scariest game I've ever played.

This was the game I wanted that actually showed the horrors of war. It's so good and to think it was the first time Treyarch dipped their fingers into grittier more gorier and brutal stories of war and conflict.

World At War is not only a masterpiece, but an important piece of history. It not only perfectly represents the grittiness of the actual war itself, it also respects the soldiers and the people who had to survive through such a horrible conflict. No Call Of Duty will be never like it, and that's a fact.
I recommend you try Darkest Hour 1944 – 1945 it is a mod for red orchestra 1 which is only 5 bucks on steam.
The funny thing is you Americans think your the ones who helped out in the war the most but it was Russia they had the most dead and they liberated more concentration camps then you but they didn’t even get acknowledged they weren’t invited to the celebration party so now they are here to get revenge

Honestly, I really do appreciate how the Russian campaign missions didn't hesitate to show that the Soviets were capable of being as merciless, cold-blooded, and, in some cases, downright evil towards the German soldiers…and, well, in real life, civilians as well. It's also why Chernov's inclusion, as well as the inner conflict between him and Reznov into the Russian campaign was just as good. Not a lot of WW2 based video games actually acknowledge that dark side of WW2, that your side was definitely just as capable of being as remorseless and cruel as the Axis.
Yeah, Just look at what happened to the Battlefield series. Sad, They virtue signaled and chose a political statement over quality. Get Woke Go Broke
