  1. Lots of thoughts to process. Of course we'll go over it in the final episode. If you enjoyed don't forget to like the video! Thanks for watching 😊

  2. It was at this point in the game I realized that Ellie s the bad guy here. Abby let her live and walked away TWICE!

  3. Abby’s section is basically what Ellie would’ve gone thru in a sense if she had killed abby(gotten revenge like Joel)

Abby has learned that revenge isn’t the answer but Ellie hasn’t yet. When their fight ends Ellie struggles with PTSD and needs closure. Abby already has that thru Lev and Yara. It’s a vicious circle.

  4. Fun fact: the Seraphites island actually does not exist today, but it is the collection of the north Queen Anne, Queen Anne, west lake, and parts of south Lake Union, and Bell town districts of Seattle. Looks like after some significant sea rise and flooding occurred lake union spilled out to become a fully formed channel of water surrounding that portion of the city, and the Interbay district flooded which is mostly railroads and a golf course built on lower situated land. Creating what is known as the seraphites island. With the Space Needle being the only prominent “old world” landmark. Pretty cool

  5. Gos I hate this game with such a passion. Our beloved characters are changed to the point where they are so unrecognizable.

  6. I’m really glad you’re coming around to this game. It doesn’t deserve the hate it gets. It’s just a lot to process.

  7. You are so unbelievably dramatic. Its a game. Grow up lol. Its not real

  8. The theatre incident happens so quickly that it's understandable you didn't see what happened to Tommy. Basically, Abby pistol-whipped him in the face which damaged his eye, and then shot him in the shoulder from behind. I'm not sure if that was her intention, i.e. to incapacitate him, but her sole reason for going there was to kill Ellie. She wasn't interested in killing Tommy even after he tried sniping them, at least that's the impression I got.

  9. The aim is impeccable when Jesse and Ellie burst thru the door. Ellie was lucky she wasn’t the first one thru

Ellie during the Abby Ellie fight is the hardest and smartest AI in the game. Very easy to set her off and get killed. She also sets bombs if the fight goes on long enough. Really fun when you’re on harder difficulties.

You can see easily how Neil felt about the public sentiment concerning the first games ending. He does everything he can to try and convince you what Joel did was wrong and impose his own feelings. This game was one big “the fans were wrong”

  10. 13:30 I felt the same way! I did NOT want to fight Ellie as Abby! I didn't even try for a while, just let Ellie have her way SOOOOO many times. But I wanted to progress the story so I begrudgingly fought through the sequence. This game put me through so much emotional damage on many levels 😆

  11. Loving the playthroughs and yes the next one should be the last. I hope you enjoyed the ride, I just love the story but it can be emotionally draining. I'll look forward to your thoughts on the over all game

  12. Wonder if tommy got some sort of brain damage after that shot, just think it’s disgusting how he manipulates/guilts Ellie into going after Abby after everything everyone’s been through. Doesn’t feel like tommy

  13. I'm glad you stopped to process. I went straight through the Island to the end and I felt so emotionally depleted afterwards. Hopefully you'll feel ready when you experience the final portion.

  14. This game is one big “what a conincidence” type of terribly written game. SPOILERS BELOW!!!!!!

TLOU2 is like if Terminator 3 was about Miles Dyson’s son going out and getting revenge on Sarah Connor for getting his Dad killed on T2. Then spending half the first half of the movie as John Connor on a quest for revenge then at the supposed climax flashing back to Miles’ son watching the events happen through is POV. After, returning to the supposed “Climax” to have Miles’ son beat the shit out of John Connor and his wife, to then flash back to the life John and his wife who is set fucked up with PTSD that he says fuck his family and goes back after Miles’ son. Then switching back to Miles’ son who is trying to embark on his new life with his new friend he met along the way to just get kidnapped by a different terroirs group. Switch back to John and then tear through terminators and the Terrorist to find Miles’ son tied up, setting him free and then fighting to the death only to let Miles’ son go and losing his family as well as his shooting hand which ends the movie with a flashback of him and his mom having a heart to heart.

You wouldn’t be able to forgive Miles’ son after killing the beloved Sarah Connor who was just doing what she needed to do for her sons survival no matter how much they tried their best with his story make him seem like the one you should feel sorry for. You would sit back and be like, “did the writers really think you were supposed to side with Mike’s’ son over the HOPE for humanity in John?” You would think about how trash the pacing and storytelling was in the movie and how the story is just a bunch of coincidences to move to the plot along. You would feel like they tried to force feed a bunch of politics and empathy for characters you have no connection to. Oh and we can’t forget how stupid we would look at the ending of that movie to be.

  15. Man.. revenge ruins them all. Abby threw everything away for her revenge… now Tommy is angry and bitter.. and lost Maria because of his obsession… and of course Ellie. You hate to see it. But they all had monsters in their mind that took something from them.. and they feel like they can't go on in life until they destroy that monster. Even though Abby found out first hand.. thats not how it works. And she didnt feel any better.

  16. I love how you analyse the game and the emotions it brings up. It's a very intelligent "rambling"! This game is an exercise on empathy and I'm glad to see that you feel it and react correctly to it.

  17. Hey Sky, there's loads of people got shot in the head and survived. In fact, that's a lot of how a lot of early psychology research was done; by studying the behavior of people shot in different parts of the brain. Now, it's completely unrealistic that all 3 survived their injuries with no medical help and made it back to Jackson, but you know…

  18. I think ellie doesnt just go after her for revenge its also cause of her ptsd
She hopes killing her will help her sleep better and live normally

  19. You people are so small-minded. Watching any playthrough of this game is a amalgamation of double-standadards, excuses, and hypocrisy. Reasons or situations that apply to Ellie don't apply to Abby for "reasons". It's really amusing.

  20. the first part has the best story I've ever seen in a video game, by far. however, story of this sequel is just absolutely ridiculus, I'm sorry lol.

  21. Tommy got hit in the head by Abby. I expect in addition to the loss of his eye, he probably also has some degree of brain damage, which in addition to the damage to his leg has made him basically non-functional compared to his former self. That's why he's still researching Abby-related leads but can't follow them up himself or help Ellie do so. (I'm not an expert or anything, but apparently it is in fact possible to survive a headshot in this way.) The health issues plus continued obsession have pretty clearly affected his quality of life across the board; I somehow doubt that his separation from Maria is a genuinely mutual thing.

A couple of other commenters have remarked on the role PTSD clearly plays in Ellie's decision to go back out. I can only echo those sentiments. Imagine if Ellie had a flashback and actually wound up harming JJ or Dina; unthinkable. She simply can't stay in a situation where she's trying (and failing) to cope with symptoms like that, so she's grasping at the only hope she can think of.

What an emotional roller-coaster of a story, though. Thanks for posting these playthroughs, they're great.
