Days Gone is a 2019 action-adventure video game developed by Bend Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. A Windows port was released in May 2021.

Upon release, it received mixed reviews from critics, who criticized the story, mission design, and technical issues but praised the graphics, artificial intelligence, and Sam Witwer’s performance as Deacon. Days Gone was a commercial success; it sold more copies than all of Bend Studio’s previous games combined and became the 19th-best-selling game of 2019 in the US. In 2021, it was reported that the development team had unsuccessfully pitched a sequel to Sony.

  1. I barely played it a couple of weeks ago and im playing it a second time now. I really loved this game, its not a slow burner for me, its so fun to ride around. And do the missions, take out the camps, nests, hordes etc etc. Haven't enjoyed playing a game this much in a long time.

  2. I really wanted to play this wen it came out but I didn't have a PS4 but now I have a PS5 so I can but the reviews made me lose interest in it but after this I might give it a chance

  3. For me, Mx vs atv legends is one of my favorite games right now. Gets a lot of undeserved hate in my opinion. Devs have been working hard to make it better though. It’s niche for sure

  4. bought it for PS4 and didn't play it much. Bought it again for PC and put a good 40 hours into it.

  5. Got this game in May of 2019. Yeah might feel generic. But everything i aped from other gamez it did well. 8/10

  6. I really viewed this game as a post-apocalypse Red Dead, with what felt like steel horses, and camps that were just little towns. The relationships were strong and the overall feel of the game was good once the jank was removed. The story is NOT flawless as I feel like an enemy at one point of the game seemingly comes out of nowhere to be an adversary, and it seemed like as quickly as he popped up he was dispatched. A very good game that I beat twice and given it was free for all PS5 owners, it’s a must-play since you have it in your library. A VERY strong 8.

  7. People that dont like this game are the kind of people that dont like Breaking Bad

  8. What I recommend anyone picking up this game do is start hunting hordes as soon as possible (you have to look up a map on the internet to find said hordes). Most of the hordes in the early areas of the game are sized to the sort of gear you might have at that point in the game, and you can reasonably deal with them using 1 attractor, 1 grenade, and the AK looking rifle. I think the biggest flaw this game has is not making it clear that you can do this, and that there are major rewards in doing so in the form of new weapons, money and trust with the camps associated with each horde.

  9. For my part I loved it, I'm a sucker for a good apocalyptic zombie game. I would sugest you play it on the hardest difficulty though.

  10. Days Gone is dope af. Been playing since launch. Game is better on ps5. Need a Days Gone 2 Sony.

  11. Luke you NEED to check out the Mad Max game that came out in 2015. That is another sleeper hit that I feel never got the attention it deserved. Incredible game.

  12. Played this multiple times. Normal. Hard. And hard 2 i think (hardest game play). Funny thing I didn't platinum it. Everything done in game. But as sony is dumb they have extra version of medals outside of game that are horrendous. Fuck this game as a platinum. Its a grind not worth it

  13. Day's gone was my game of the year when it came out definitely underrated and i would love to see a second game

  14. I couldn’t get past the first big boss for whatever reason. I ran around and buffed my character and cleaned the map as much as I could leading up to it and felt almost invincible against any encounter. But yeah… that first big boss was just a spongy cheap battle that I just couldn’t get through it and eventually gave up entirely.

Also the “tough guy” biker characters and their macho-guy drama was so damn cringey it made it hard to care about any of them.

  15. This game was a killer game. It sucks that the devs have dropped creating a sequel

  16. Didn’t know the game existed. Got on my plus. Being a zombie post-apocalyptic gamer/movie watcher, this game was the most satisfying ever. Yes it was slow at the start but that’s real LIFE, but it was tense and terrifying having to ride out into the shits.

Open world and not one track like the Last of Us. The intelligence of the infected being able to open doors and think not one track minded either.

    Completely underrated!

I’ve already had 4 play throughs on my PS5. But like music there are are two kinds not matter the genre it is either a good song or a bad song. This is a good game. Need a sequel

  17. Yeah no I’m not playing through 15 hours of slog to get to the “good parts” of a game

  18. Always found long open world games like GTA IV and V, or Assassin's Creed over the last decade, "bleh" and boring. I found Days Gone interesting, exciting and, more importantly, fun.

And the pacing was fine: while the hook was facing the hordes Days Gone slowly builds you to that starting with small groups of Freakers and growing from there to larger groups as you move along. But here is the thing: while you won't see them in the first few hours of gameplay as the story and world are established, once the world opens more you can run into larger hordes if you are the explorer type.

  19. The game is at its best at the end, when your left to yourself without a 15 minute cutscene every 5 minutes of gameplay, I enjoyed the game but thinking about slogging through the story again just to get to the meat of the game makes me bored thinking about it. Glad I played through and 100% but I doubt I will ever play again

  20. Reminds me a little bit of Sleeping Dogs, a brilliant game with fun mechanics that just didn't catch the mainstream attention plus GTA5 was just around the corner so most people brushed it off. Similar to Days Gone "oh it's just another zombie game, meh"

  21. I kill counted this recently and I gotta say… it was such an underrated and completely awesome experience! Sam absolutely nailed the protagonist and the setting was perfectly nailed with tone and atmosphere. Loved exploring ever part of it… except when my but cheeks swapped places when clenching to escape the horde merely inches from eating my face! 😬

  22. I dint play tlou2 cuz all the bad reviws but i tried it and god daam this game
is amazing.DONT WORRY ABOUT THE REVIW JUST PLAY THE GAME

    SORRY FOR M ENGLISH

  23. Days gone is awesome. Never understood how dismissive people were. Everything around the motorcycle and the hordes is perfect imo, and the story kept me engaged up until the point where that stuff really got capitalized on. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it after seeing the reviews honestly.

  24. I really liked Days Gone.
There where only two things I disliked:
    1. The Main protagonist always talking.
    2. The Main Protagonist in general

  25. There was nothing "Blergh" about Days Gone, I loved it. And I think your video is kinda "BLERGH"!!

  26. I played on a base ps4 in early 2021. Maybe a little ubisoft open world. I got it for 20 bucks abd out 60ish hours unto it. I didn't really see glitches or atleast were not too noticeable.

  27. In my opinion days gone is a 10/10 for me I really enjoyed this game and I’m playing my 2nd run on ps5 now, I feel everyone is just on the bandwagon and never actually put at least 10 hours in before judging the game, Games nowadays don’t get played for yourselves it’s always what everyone else thinks.
