Days Gone is a 2019 action-adventure video game developed by Bend Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game is set in post-apocalyptic Oregon two years after the start of a pandemic. Former outlaw-turned-drifter Deacon St. John discovers his wife Sarah, having been assumed dead, may still be alive and goes on a quest to find her. Days Gone is played from a third-person perspective in which the player can explore an open world environment. Players can use firearms, melee weapons and improvised weapons, and can use stealth to defend themselves against hostile humans and cannibalistic creatures known as freakers. A major game mechanic is Deacon’s motorcycle, which is used as the player character’s main mode of transportation and mobile inventory.

    I've tried playing this game every couple of weeks or so… the movement is so slow and janky, as if im running in in water. Doesn't matter if I'm on controller or keyboard. I can't seem to get past that. I'm found this vid just to see if it was me or not, and it isn't… its just the game.

    This is one of my favorite zombie games and when it first came out some years ago (ps4), I was like why is it so slept on?? Anyways… If you smoke some trees and then play this game bro, I PROMISE this game will have you tense and on edge like a mf!!! Scared af!! Especially when the hordes come😁🤣. Lol Guaranteed!

    Honestly, this game is absolutely amazing!! It is what some might call a masterpiece indeed. I had this game when I had PS Now service, which I had accidentally paid for when I meant to get PS Plus… anyway well past halfway into the game, I come home to play it one night and discovered the game had been washed from my library, thanks to that stupid &@#%<* PS Now service, such a stupid service.. anyway, after getting my PS5 and redownloading the game for free.. after about 4 hours of intermittent gaming on this game I realized how difficult this game I.. I couldn’t get back my initial momentum and enjoy like I was the first time on the PS4… it is a lovely game once you get into it, but hard to jump back in after a hiatus..

    After completing all the trophies and 100% finishing the game, I can now give my honest opinions on it. Overall I'd probably give this game about a 8/10 or 7.5/10. While the story isn't nothing new, it was executed well for the most part (besides some small things that didn't make sense or could've played out way better). The game play aspect was intriguing, the zombie hordes were pretty unique and fun to take down. The crafting mechanic kept you on your toes, as well as the wildlife you encountered. The way you moved around the map was pretty unique with the whole gas mechanic, thought annoying at times. I don't know if anyone experienced the amount of glitches I got playing this game but it was pretty annoying. Many times I had to quit out or load game from a different time I saved, considering I got this game 4 years later this shouldn't be happening. All in all while I don't think the game is masterpiece ( like all the comments below mine lol), I don't think it deserves the amount of hate it got. There have many games that don't do as much as Days Gone does but get way better feedback. The game was 100 percent worth the 30 dollars I spend on it, hopefully we get a sequel in the foreseeable future.
