Nowadays, unless you’re a hardcore mecha anime fan, people who do Rocket Punch would be referencing/parodying Metal Gear V when it was actually referencing Mazinger.
imagine Venom Snake has Breast Fire, shooting beams of energy from his nipples.
Also Venom Snake's bionic arm is based on the Satan's Claw worn by Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker, leader of Marvel Comics's Hydra. An earlier version of this arm was worn by one of the antagonists from METAL GEAR SOLID PEACE WALKER.
