  1. Most of dmc 2 comes with 0 context. The main shock factor is in how much of it I've already forgotten.

  2. The context for most of this is exactly what you see here: Dante is just a huge goofball

  3. Just needed all Dante's stabs, and "I should have been the one to fill YOUR DARK SOUL WITH LIGHT (Light) (Light) (Light)

  4. The great thing is even with context, plenty of this is just stuff that happens. Dante gets a hat? Just turns into MJ for a bit. You beat a Berial and got Lucifer? Time for this flamenco bit. Defeated Cerberus? Here’s a scene where Dante just plays around with the weapon before saying that was “too easy.”

The first time you play when you’re still getting used to the controls and challenge, it’s like your reward for beating a level or boss is that you get to see the next crazy thing that happens, it’s great.

  5. Something about Vergil saying "your incompetence" is just odd to me.
Dante beats Vergil because Vergil is putting lives at risk and Vergil fucks up with the whole Sparda power thing. Then Dante defeats Mundus (And Vergil again). Then Dante helps Nero to defeat the Order and the Savior. Then when the world is all A-Okay… Vergil does a stupid and puts the world at Risk again. Then HE goes to Dante for help… and later says "your incompetence".

The fuck, Vergil? Your whole life has been one long fuck-up.
