Today, we’re going to be ranking each of the souls games by FromSoftware from best to worst. This includes Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls 1, Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Elden Ring. My list changes every time I play through the games, but I wanted to share my current ranking as well as what I like and dislike about each because they all have unique aspects that set them apart from each other.

  1. Personally I played Elden Ring first and I absolutely love it BUT tbh I think its hard to call it a soulslike, its hard to explain but the flow is just sooooo different compared to the others, it is one of the best RPGs ever made for sure and my favorite of the souls series but I can definitely see veterns of these games prefering the old ones as it took a very different turn. Thou I respect that they experiment a lot and are not afraid to do so, which is why their games are always goty contenders.

  2. Dekor is my first. I haven't finished it yet but I'll soon.

  3. Tbh, your list is nearly identical to my list, except Dark souls 2 and Demon souls are switched for me.

Sekiro is my nr 1 most favorite from software game

  4. I'd personally place ds2 in the bottom since it's the one I enjoyed the least, but I 100% agree on sekiro being at the top, amazing piece of a game that people should play more of.

EDIT: Thinking about it right after commenting, my issue with ds2 was the scholar edition and the "improvements" they made, vanilla ds2 was all in all a good experience.

  5. not gonna lie sekiro is the first souls like that I finished the genichiro fight is so freaking amazing and hard

  6. bro you calling Demon's souls easiest while I'm out here struggling… I needed a hand from a fellow redditor to get back up to my feet after beating the first boss and getting stuck. it's also my first souls game.

  7. Out of all the From Soft games I've played my ranking currently goes as follows
    1.Bloodborne
    2.Dark Souls 3
    3.Dark Souls
    I want to play
    Elden and Sekiro
I could install Demon Souls Remake as it's free with ps plus just don't have the room on the ps5

  8. Bloodborn is by far the worst I played and platinumed every game on this list but Bloodborn was simply not a souls game for me. I finished and platinumed Bloodborn in 2 days died once the game is far too easy for a toddler even. every armor looks the same just an awful game. Everyone who has Bloodborn ranked high is thinking "Finally a souls game I can beat I like this one the most" the whole idea of souls is to make a game so mind-bogglingly difficult that most players won't bother

  9. I must admit. I am surprised when you mentioned "Bloodborne", 3 mins. earlier at the video😄

  10. Unfortunately Sekiro doesn't appeal to me theme-wise… I think I can totally agree with Bloodborne ranked above the Dark Souls Games due to its theme, world, story and level design, although the Dark Souls Games will always have a place in my heart, I especially love the world of the first one. Demon's Souls placing last is totally fine, they were still practicing nevertheless it was great when it first came out and still stood the test of time with its remake. When it comes to gameplay and customization I think Elden Ring is the peak of their work (given that I didn't play Sekiro) but Dark Souls 3 already was very good in that regard. Elden Ring indeed suffers from the (still great) open world because the biggest strength of the games for me fell a little flat for me: the level design with its "ah, NOW I know where I am" and "finally, a shortcut to the bonfire!" is only reached (and not nearly as great as in the other games) in the large legacy dungeons. Nevertheless the rest of the game is great.

  11. maybe it's just me, but sekiro has nothing "soulslike" about him, i don't even know why he's on the list

  12. I disagree with everything on this list lol. DS1 and demons souls are top tier with blood borne and elden ring. I hated ds2 and sekiro, the quick time events and lack of customizing in sekiro really killed it for me.

  13. I love elden ring but my only complaint about it is repeat boss bloat. It was always disappointing to do a side dungeon to just see it be a repeat of another boss i already cleared, with maybe 1 extra gimmick to it. Main bosses are great, but i feel like they went a bit too copy paste on the side dungeons. Same complaint i had with bloodborne's chalice dungeons, but those at least felt compartmentalized and tucked away from the rest of the game.

  14. Dark Souls fans are possibly the only people who will complain about a game because the bosses weren’t hard enough💀

  15. Sekiro really is the easiest to master, but understanding it takes time. My first play through perfectly illustrates this. I died to genichiro 20-30 times, because I played it patiently and not constantly clashing swords. I just got this in the owl fight which was still really difficult even if you understand. Then when it came time to ishin the sword saint I just demolished him. Took me just 3 tries and I got him down to 25% on my first try. For fun I played the tutorial again and I actually beat genichiro in the tutorial which is supposed to be impossible. Once the combat clicks this game becomes by far the easiest, but it’s brutal when it doesn’t. After doing all that I continued playing blood borne and got massacred by the one reborn 10 times, which is more times than I died to all the dlc bosses combined. These games are wild sometimes.

  16. 1) Bloodborne (Best art direction, level design, music, backstory lore is insane and the atmosphere is top notch with cosmic horror elements. The rally, vincernal and trick weapon systems are amazing. Also best DLC although ring city is amazing too)
    2) Sekiro (Thats a tough one cause i was between this and DS3. But in the end i prefer Sekiro cause it has the best sword combat in a game ever, the parry/deflect/posture system is amazing, great art direction, music and the best bosses out of all games. DS3 comes second,Bloodborne third and Elden ring fourth in that aspect. The only flaw of this game for me was the zero replayability, ng+ feels useless and bad, the level design is bland compared to Bloodborne and Dark Souls. Also the spirit tokens systems should have been refiled automatically like Estus. Same mistake with the Bloodborne blood vials. So it isn't a perfect game with no flaws it has some but its still my second favorite cause of the bosses, combat, world and story)
    3) Dark Souls 3 (Best Souls game for me, it has amazing bosses almost on par with Sekiro but the thing with DS3 is that it feels epic with all sense of the world. Great build variety, fast paced combat and great dlcs especially ringed city, great art direction and amazing music. The downsides is that the level design is kinda worse than the rest of the games same problem that Sekiro has. Another potential flaw is that you can overlevel and push through the game easily and also depending on your build. For example if you go strength/faith build for your first playthrough the game is a joke)
    4) Elden Ring (I liked the game but i didn't love it. The interconnected hub world design is much better for me than the open world design in this kinda of games and design formula. The dungeons got old fast with reusable bosses. I will use the phrase quality over quantity and this applies to this game for me. There are rare occasions of open world games that i don't feel bloated or bored like Elder Scrolls for example or Red Dead or Witcher but in this case sadly i was. The positives of this game are the build variety not so much the combat cause the basics haven't changed from DS3, the main bosses, the music and art direction)
    5) Dark Souls (Amazing atmosphere, art direction that is limited by old hardware, music, bosses, level design and the game that started everything. Some areas aren't as good as the others and it hasn't top tier bosses like the first 4 games for me)
    6) Demon Souls (Best game visually, with easy bosses, good level design but not amazing, solid combat with not much build variety and nice art direction and atmosphere. I would describe it as a solid game but not amazing or masterpiece like the first 5 games)
    7) Dark Souls 2 (Worst Souls game for me for reasons like extremely bad level design, no memorable bosses, hit boxes, artistically is not a good game. The positive is that it had some improvements in your combad/build variety approach and only that)

  17. Been with Elden Ring for 20 hours +. But Sekiro is still way too high above it, the combat, the sound, the design, the boss, what a perfect game.

  18. my list
Dark souls 3: is the worse combat is too easy game is too linear and it feels basically as a retreading of old ground is a good game but worse souls game
Dark souls 2: is fun but broken and feels like it is missing a core identity
Elden ring: its a chore to play again but it has enough to really sink my teeth on it but for now 2 full runs is more than enough for me
Dark souls 1: i love it and its the best to go back and try a different route

(Never played sekiro, demon souls or blood born)

  19. My list:

    #7 Dark Sould 2
    #6 Dark Souls 3
    #5 Dark Souls
    #4 Demon's Souls
    #3 Elden Ringv
    #2 Sekiro
    #1 Bloodborne

  20. "Number 7 Demon souls for the bosses they are not fun"
Dark souls 2: "Am i a joke to you?"

  21. "Dark souls 2 was the most addicted i've ever got to a game" Ok, that explains why you cant rank them

  22. bloodborne does bot need a remaster……how old r u like 15? bloodborne still looks good

  23. For me it would be:
    1 Sekiro
    2 Elden ring
    3 Bloodborne

Sekiro for combat and pacing and most importantly no bs

Bloodborne for thematic, stories, sidequests and some bosses are pretty cool (blood vials is bs)

Elden for story, world building, artistry, detail and freedom. If the game just wasn’t too long (story wise), didn’t have a very poor balancing and didn’t funnel you into powerfarm , it would be the best videogame ever created for me. (The difficulty in this game is bs)

DS and Demon’s are for sweaty mfs

  24. On my human principle I simply must disagree with putting ds2 over ds1, and honestly as time goes on I start to dislike ds3 more and more

So basically Bloodborne best fromsoft game

  25. My top:
    1.- Elden Ring
2.- DS3 (Didn't finish it, dropped it half way through due to some bug deleting my save, still had so much fun)
    3.- Sekiro
    4.- DS1
    5.- Ds2
    6.- Demonsouls
7.- Bloodborne (This is the most boring fucking shit I've ever played, i wish i hadnt wasted my money in this crap)

  26. I could hear the sword clangs vividly when you were fighting Isshin, man I love Sekiro.

  27. I’d have to say dark souls 3 is my favorite almost all of the bosses were amazing
