I think the worst thing about Dark Souls 2 is that it's named Dark Souls. Everyone I know who played it first still likes it and ranks it well among the others, but anyone who went into it expecting more DS1 was sorely disappointed. Even as a DS2 stan it was an immediately relatable sentiment when I did my 1-3 chain playthrough, it takes you like half the game to get used to the changes and then you're just mad until you're done.
Do Armored Core next
Demon’s Souls is not better than DS2 that is CAP
L take
Elden Ring is a great game, but its world is such generic fantasy
Review is trash.
Demon's Souls sounds great but I'm not buying a console to play an exclusive.
Asmon is so wrong about DS2. DS2 fuggin slapped!
i dont know i feel like you need too play nioh 2, is is a great gamw with a good story and bloodborne ist my favorite.
Nameles king…but malenia…
imo elden ring was so damn frontloaded. the second half of the game was absolutely abysmal, atleast in my experience
In ds1 you lost health when you died until they patched it out to nerf the difficulty. In DS3 you lose health when you die to its just that the ember is phrased as a supplimental power, where losing your humanity seems more like an affliction, its the same thing. How is this a point? Its a dark souls game, your max health goes down when you die, thats how it works.
Ds2 is my favorite souls game. Imo I have never been more drawn into, immersed and intrigued by a game world. Best music in the series, best zones in the series.
Personally: ER is #1, Sekiro, DS1, and Bloodborne are all closely matched right behind it, DS3 is right behind them, I've never played Demon's Souls, and ofc DS2 is at the bottom.
DS2 was epic I love it
asmongold kinda get personal to personal opinion lol, that's so funny
What they should had done with frenzy in bloodborne is have it more like madness in Elden Ring. You get stunned for a few seconds and take a bit of damage instead of a HUGE amount of damage.
Just another day of Asmongold Dunking on people for not playing videos games more than 8 hours a day.
Sekiro
Elden Ring
Dark Souls 3
Bloodborne
Dark Souls 2 SOFTS
Dark Souls 1
I should replay DS1,
Elden Ring is my favourite Souls
Sekiro is my favourite game from Front Software

I f** love the Giant Tree, is super easy but
You don't expect it
You don't expect falling
You don't expect kicking in his eggs
I bought every souls game and never finished one KEKW
shit takes 💯 shitshow 💯
I tried Elden Ring as my first souls game and I loved it, then I tried Sekiro as I wanted some fast-paced gameplay and it was tough as fuck, but I persevered and it was satisfying and fun as fuck.
Then I tried dark souls 1 and I fucking hated that game. I don't understand what people see so great in DS1? Like yeah the levels are connected that's cool.. but that's like all the game has to offer. Graphics aside (since its an old game), the world feels empty, the combat is clunky as fuck, the movement in the game is so slow, the run from any bonfire to a boss arena is so fucking long, and overall I just feel like the game is so outdated. I honestly don't see what's so great about DS1 nowadays.
Agree, Elden is my goat of the fromsoft games
I totally understand the sentiment of changing favorites over time and depending on experiences.
Demon's Souls I didn't get to play until later and didn't dislike but but just felt it was way too easy and not enough build variety/weapon variety.
I think Dark Souls 1 would've been considered my favorite at one point and I'd say it's beginning is probably the strongest, but everything past Ornstein and Smough / Anor Londo is such a fucking slog and so many unfinished bosses/areas that my opinion of it lowered a lot over the years.
Dark Souls 2 I had the opposite happen where I thought it was terrible at first but ended up appreciating it more the more times that I played it. They did a lot of neat shit we didn't get to see again until Elden Ring (power stance, gargoyle keys, twinblades, etc)
Dark Souls 3 I've had a pretty consistent opinion that it's quite good but too linear. I think I've played it the most of all the games.
Bloodborne I used to view very highly but overtime felt the lack of build variety made multiple playthroughs extremely boring. Chalice Dungeons did add some replayability to it though.
Sekiro I've always felt was the weakest and most repetitive entry in the series. The Shura ending straight up cuts half the game so it always feels like the wrong choice.
Elden Ring I feel like took all the good shit of the previous games and just expanded on it. And that a lot of people's criticisms of the game (especially of bosses) were issues I felt were just as prevalent in previous souls games if not worse, aside from the game's overall length. I honestly don't know how I'll go back to the other games after Elden Ring honestly.
elden ring is the best game ive ever played… his list is a L
