It’s pretty cool that we got this and Seiken Densetsu 3 on the Switch now. Maybe we can even get Bahamut Lagoon and Far East of Eden Zero!
Now, if only Squeenix could re-release Final Fantasies V and VI like this. Part of the reason they weren't included in the game pass for Microsoft, was because those ports are so crap.
I feel like the people who cry out for a non-linear JRPG experience are those with the loudest voices and no ambition to explore the market. In truth, there are a lot of very amazing (if untranslated) non-linear JRPGs, both in older era console and PC. Some of these are being lost to time due to a lack of archiving, which is a huge shame, and blogs have been written to at least attempt to remember these games.
SaGa 3 feels like perpetual end game for me, like as if every main quest objective is complete save for the final dungeon and I’m avoiding it by tying up all loose ends. That said I love it because it feels like playing Jrpgs for the very first time again

Part of the reason that SaGa never caught on in the West was due to how hard Square wanted to push Final Fantasy as their premiere franchise. It didn't help that Unlimited SaGa flopped.
I'm glad to see that people are excited about these games despite their age and differences in design, as it has breathed some new life into a franchise that I thoroughly enjoy.
I find the ultra hd sharp text such a contrast to the pixel graphics to where its quite jarring, I wish they would stop doing that with these remakes.

Beat it back in the days in Japanese…Now I can get this and have a better understanding of the storyline…Now i wish they get treasures of rudras remastered…

I'd really like Romancing Saga that went to PS2 ported. I feel I can't progress much partly for not having it on a portable device. But I get the sense I'm the only one who liked it.
