Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7– Reunion reviewed by Colin Stevens on PlayStation 5, also available on PC, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.

Crisis Core pushes the definition of a remaster to the edge, completely renovating the 15-year-old PSP game’s graphics, combat, and more. That said, many of the design choices made for the handheld original – like bite-sized side missions – are left intact, keeping this experience from feeling completely modern. But even with a few aging quirks, Crisis Core remains a fun, compelling, and integral chapter in the ongoing Compilation of Final Fantasy 7, and Reunion is the absolute best way to experience it.

  1. If they decided to remake all of those cutscenes then we would be waiting another year or two to play this. Id much rather have this now and FF16 and FF7R2 next year.

  2. For the God's sake why they dont remake FF1 – FF9 ? FF8 remasteres disappoint so much.

  3. lol, as a person who owned the original crisis core on psp, it can only be better then the psp game and the psp game was near perfect, already on the level of ff7 remake

  4. Amazing and nostalgic game but im sad that the original VAs didnt reprise their roles or just reuse the same voice recordings from PSP.

  5. FInal fantasy holds the title for best Fighting Cutscenes, atleast for me ❤️

  6. How did IGN got to play this before us? It's not even released. This isnt fair

  7. This was the most monotone review I’ve ever heard. Literally sounds like he was reading from the script and didn’t take his eyes off of it.

  8. So it's actually a 10/10 because those of us who love Crisis Core wanted the stuff y'all didn't like to stay where it was.

  9. I’ll never forgive square enix for how bad they botched zacks voice with the new voice actor but I’m so excited to get my hands on this. Now just torn between getting it on Pc or Switch

  10. Someone ever got to Minerva? Its the true end game boss only accessible when you finished all side quests.

  11. IGN is obsessed with open world. Not all games need to be a Ubisoft game, darlings.

  12. This WILL spoil FF7 Remake
Play the original FF7 or avoid this game before playing the Remake trilogy

  13. FF7 fans: which should be played first? FF7 remake part one, or this prequel? Thanks for an opinion.

  14. Square Enix could always make new dlcs for this game. even though they really make that many for ff7 remake. they more dlc ffo stranger in paradise than the ff7 remake.

  15. Even though Vincent isn’t nearly as integral to the overall story as Zack- I’m really hoping Square remasters Dirge of Cerberus.

  16. More excited for this than remake part 2 no joke zack is my fav from ff7
