Jesse, I watch the awards to see someone cry about losing and to see kick ass trailers
Just finished Days Gone. Serviceable story, gameplay is ok, but top marks for the lead voice actor morphing into Patrick Warburton during every tense situation.
Absolutely don't watch game awards shows at all. Check out the trailers after as they are always immediately posted on Youtube etc.. As Jesse says, Award Shows are for the people nominated.
Woke may well be pure cancer, but nobody's buying games for the politics.
Are you going to do news about Dead Island 2? Or is it not news worthy since it has been years and years that people think it's really dead and the devs just keeps saying oh it's still in development when it has already been 8 years since the DI2 trailer released on E3
It's funny how any incompetent hack can use "wokeness" to justify his failures nowadays.
I only watch the award shows and any E3 shows because content creators I follow are watching them and doing live commentary and jokes. I don’t care about seeing the games trailers, I’ll see the relevant ones later when all the news channels and my friends online start talking about them. I’d much rather see the cool trailers later alone instead of sitting though hours of things I genuinely do not care about. But if I watch live, it’s for the commentary. Previously it was TB, but recently it’s been NerdCubed mainly and a couple little streamers for more niche stuff.
I put nearly 50 hrs into it. It is very much a 5/10. One of the most average zombie games out there.

The Days Gone protagonist was a bland dude who's personality is "biker" but sure, Garvin, reviewers didn't like the protagonist because wokeness.
Maybe the game failed because of the sheep lead director, either way this won't help it succeed lol
Yeah game awrds show are different to say streamys or the oscars because there's actual news shared, world exclusives, announcements, I know it's mostly hype generation to make more money, but it's an exciting event to tune into and rip on with some friends. The actual awards? Trash. We still have "Best Action Game" as an award, that's the laziest, most vague category ever that pretty much every game at the awards show falls under.
I actually dislike the the fact that the game awards is just a trailer fest, not that it's a problem that they show so many trailers, the problem is that they are so flippant and disrespectful with how they hand out some of the awards. I want the developers to be able to take the time to thank people and savor this, especially cuz sometimes the winners are small independent niche people. But I also understand I'm incredibly biased on this perspective because I'm married to a game developer. So I have a lot of respect for the craft of game development and I wish they were better recognized on a national stage.
The game awards has been so obviously fake since hollow knight didnt get any nominations while fucking destiny 2 got somehow nominated to best music

That guy cannot get over the fact that no one wanted to play another life's journey zombie game. It's called Last of Us, Bruh. (and I didn't play that either, console exclusive and such)

days gone sony exclusive? thats why no one cares. never heard of days gone till girrards video 2 days ago. i dont have the energy to play sony games like god of war. if you din d a lets play i would know nothing about god of war
Days Gone reviewed well to my knowledge… Its also literally become a cult classic since its release and one of the few open world/zombie games i've actually finished. Dudes high AF

Video games are fiction people have a right to like or not like the games but they don't have a right to ruin a game based on their opinion no matter how strong their opinion is if someone thinks the character in the game is terrible that's fine but the character in the game is not a real person nor does the character in the game reflect on the creators of the game or the company unless otherwise provided evidence ✌️😁
