  1. Happy Sunday guys, hope you had a lovely weekend (or week depending when you're watching this!)

  2. You really have to know how to save him to do it. Essentially you have to stand on the other side of that big closed gate and poison mist through it in order to kill the maggots before you get there. No maggots, no crazy Solaire. Then you can summon him for the final battle of the game.

I think you could also get really far in the spider lady's covenant to open the door from the other side, but realistically most people don't do that.

As for Bed of Chaos… It's not a great boss but honestly, I prefer an epic looking but simplistic puzzle boss like it and Dragon God from the mechanically more challenging but recycled again and again Elden Ring bosses in the catacombs etc. Those really gave me that feeling of "meh" you mentioned… Going into a boss fight hoping for something exciting, and then I see it is the fourth or fifth time I meet a variant of the same boss. Main reason why I prefer all of the Souls games.

  3. dont worry emma, onion bro's quest is just as sad lmao. except with solaire i think you can actually keep him alive until the final boss fight which you can summon him for. which makes solaire's slightly more hopeful that onion bro.

  4. Solaire can be saved by joining the Spider Waifu covenant and giving her 30 humanity which lets you open the shortcut from the other side and kill the Sunlight Maggot before it gets to him.

  5. You can save Solaire if you go through that path from the other side and kill the bug that drops Sunlight Maggot helmet before Solaire finds it and puts it on his head. But to open the door from that side requires you to do something first that you didn't do. Too late now. You could have also used the ring of sacrifice to save those souls you got from Kirk. Also too late now. And as for onion bro, i commented 2 times already that you missed him in Anor Londo along with half of other stuff in there. But it seems like you didn't read my comments and i'm sure you won't read this one ether making it pointless to even write it but i'm doing it anyway, hahaha. Spoiler alert, you can go back to undead asylum, find a small bird nest on the cliff nearby big bird nest, leave the sunlight maggot in it and reset, when you go back to it there will be old witch's ring in there instead, with it you can go back to spider lady and talk to her and hear what she has to say. 😂

  6. 3rd thing I’ve learned from this playthrough after 10 years playing this game. Bed of chaos just chills if you keep your distance and mind your business.

  7. I’m not going down into some dark moist pit and having my cheeks clapped by 4 yorkshire puddings with spiky legs 😂 you so funny Emma

  8. Those “Yorkshire puddings” are one of the most repulsive things I’ve ever seen in a video game.

  9. apa bedanya kamu sama buku engga tau emang apa ? kalau buku jendela dunia tapi kalau dirimu duniaku love from Indonesia 🇮🇩

  10. Well. At least you got a cool hat out of it? Thing you noticed in the Four Kings ep, don't know if anyone else had already said it, but you wondered if you could run to the Four Kings from the start and you can! There's no yellow fog blocking your path, which disappears in the cutscene when you place the Lordvessel, unlike the three you do see disappear. So you could, if you wanted to, get the ring from Sif, run into New Londo and fight the Four Kings before you even get the Lordvessel! (this is not advised bc they'll kick your ass)
And yes, there are ways to prevent Solaire from getting a terrible case of brainworms but they're kinda obfuscated or pretty wonky.

  11. I'm sad Emma didn't get to hear the full dialogue during the Solaire fight 🙁

  12. Please. Please. Explore the tree in Blightown, the Giant Painting, and DLC before doing the last lord soul. You can't go back after you end the game and we want to see your reactions.

Honestly, I would love to see you do another run with a focus on questlines.

I love Lost Izilith but the Bed of Chaos is a terrible boss. From ran out of time or ideas for enemies and just put those crazy dragon butts around the bottom, plus copy/pasted Taurus and Capra demons everywhere.

Still the lore is really cool and sad.

  13. Emma: imagine if this was the boss runback?
    Dark Souls: 😬

Emma: this game just makes you paranoid 'cuz things can jump out of nowhere
    Dark Souls: 😬😬 floor breaks

Emma: I hope that's not poison water down there
    Dark Souls: 😬😬😬

I just love how unpredictable and yet so predictably cruel these games are 😂

  14. Don't forget the dlc after catacombs. Also youve got the doll for the painting in Anor Londo

  15. Handled Bed of Chaos very well! Btw I think the runback from the bonfire behind that illusory wall is much shorter than through the „shortcut“

  16. "Oh no it's full of cupcakes!" 🥺
Never heard anyone be that down on cupcakes before!

  17. 53:50 had me deaaaad lmao. The reconnaissance, the tests, the careful tread this way and that, all for a two-hit KO lol

Emma was literally surprised pikachu at 1:02:08

  18. You killed Solaire… Monster!

If you want to save Solaire you need to give the Daughter of Chaos 30 humanity before killing the Centipede Demon. That opens a back way to Izalith where you can kill the sunlight maggot before it corrupts him.

  19. Welp, the worst boss in the game is behind you now. Actually, it's the worst of the entire series… I doubt anyone will disagree.

  20. Ah welcome to the wonderful part of dark souls we affectionately call the Bed of Bullshit

  21. Condolences on the death of Solaire. If you have a really good look around Anor Londo you’ll find Onion Bro alive and happy and you can continue his quest line.

  22. Love how you were able to recognise Solaire and express shock that he’s aggressive, while at the same time attacking him without restraint and killed him before he’s even done speaking lol

Oh and if you feel bad about how Solaire went out, it’s a good job you lost track of Onion Bro cos oof

  23. Give us a broken desk tour vid explaining all the issues you have with the set up haha

  24. you should look up how to access the dlc area because it’s really absurd how they expect you to figure it out. also it has some of the best bosses in the game imo

  25. Another great episode, I´ve been binge watching this series for a week straight now and seeing you discover the secrets of this game just brings me joy.

    Just a couple of tips:

Please, please, PLEASE pick up the shinies, seeing you ignore them fairly often is really frustrating.

Most times you missed a backstab in the earlier episodes, 85% of the time it was because you had your shield up or just lowered it, there is a slight cooldown after you put it down when you cant execute a backstab for like a half second or so.

Take your time exploring the areas if its something you enjoy, I bet most viewers would agree that we dont mind.

Many of the undead NPCs in this world do go hollow eventually (sometimes you can prevent it but it is really hard), you have already killed a couple of your "friends" in their hollow form, just didnt recognize them even though you were just talking about them a minute before.

The ring of the evil eye isnt very good, the Havel ring on the other hand is extremely good.

There is a couple of areas (yes, whole areas) that you have not found yet and at least for one of them youre very unlikely to find on your own, I think it would be a good idea to let us know to give you hints how to find them as you get close to the end of the game, that includes the DLC which really is a beautiful part of the game you wouldn´t want to miss.

This last one might be a bit of a reach, but I think you would appreciate the lore of this game if you spent a little bit more time looking through the items you have, perhaps in an extra mini-episode just focused on reading the lore in your item descriptions would be super cool!

Oh and I saw a couple of youtubers have a big success with viewership when they released vids of their reactions to speedruns or lore videos after beating the game, I would love to see yours as well and Im sure others would agree, just something to consider.

  26. I wouldn't say Bed of Chaos is a puzzle boss, because puzzles are enjoyable and fun to solve

  27. There is a good ending for solaire… that was not the one. If you give the spider lady 30 humanities in her covenant then that door where solaire was will open from the other side – and allows you to kill the red eyes parasites before solaire sees them if you're quick.

The lava swamp bonfire with the dragon butts is usually a quicker boss run back, even if you have to dodge a few enemies.

  28. Demon Ruins and Lost Izalith both are just horrible areas. The reused textures, enemies, and the cherry on top – the Bed of Chaos. The second half of the game was rushed, so enemies were pretty much copied and pasted all over the place. I just rush through these two areas as quickly as possible. It doesn't help that there aren't really good items either.

Good job on getting through the Bed of Chaos – a pretty universally despised boss. Also – you might want to use the Ring of Favor and Protection!

  29. I think if someone didn't catch it until now has seen this time that she is checking playthroughs before going into new areas.
I mean how would you know that you have do destroy the two spheres on both sides of the bed of chaos. And that you can target it from the distance. Especially when it's not working after many tries everyone would abandon the idea and try something new.
I mean there's nothing bad about checking playthroughs but pretending is a no go for me sry

  30. The bed of chaos is the worst boss in the game. I've done a lot of play throughs and sometimes I get it first time and other times it takes all day. There's so much just plain luck involved!

  31. Poor Solaire, pouring one out. Praise the sun etc. Well done on getting there with that beat boss at the end, was routing for you when you fell into the pit o doom.

Hope you enjoyed this one, I had a great time with it and it inspired and powered me on through some work that I'm finishing for a project so thank you for the vibes.

Hope you're having a great week. All the best.
