Next is The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki (Trails of Black) in Calvard Republic 2021 translation, the game starts the "second half" of the "Kiseki" (Trails) series for the franchise.

Honestly I thought Rufus’s move to get people angry at him at the end was a 5head play. Although I really don’t understand how Ishmelga just gave control over to something like a collective unconscious.

This evil Rean could be such a great antagonist in the following series like Kuro no Kiseki, like be a part of Ouroborous, just think about how great his backstory is, shame that he dissapeared, maybe….there is….still some hope.

Love "C" now, hope to see the New imperial picnic squad in future games as well, they are just bitesized enough to not clog up the plot like C7 and the Crossbell cast did in this game.
Rean's story even with this game doesn't feel great, he keeps getting the "wow I really shouldnt sacrifice myself all the time" realization for the Nth time and there still hasnt been a good build up to it.
Hajimari was definitely a massive step up from CS4 in terms of quality, the plot was a bit convoluted still but we got good characters and nothing atrocious happened like CS4 undoing all the tragic events of CS3.

The scene is what made rean my favourite protagonist in the series and favourite character in the series too. Just goes to show how much he changed and grown as a character , the most perfect moment and most fitting for him.
Found his route to be my favourite and that's probably the more unpopular opinion considering how much people love C's route.

Spoiled myself on the ending, but this is 2 hours of excellent material (guess altina , this lapis kid, and kea are Rosenberg dolls lol I legit forget fairly often that kea isn't human 🤣)
I just realized at 1:51:17 when Rean was about to tell them what he saw "beyond, in the other causality." The only one who wasn't surprised was Zeit. Since he is a Holy Beast it's probably a given he's much more knowledgeable of Zemuria and everything… But I still can't help but find this minor detail interesting.
How could rean still had access to ogre power in resonance form when ishmelga and the twilight curse is dead?
