I'm just wondering if you can extend the record by using something normal like a Playstation controller.
I know what you said on the video about suggestions, but I do have an obscure controller for you. There was a Tony Hawk game I played on the PS3 that used a motion controller in the form of a skateboard. Leaning affecting which direction you'd skate. AND, it had buttons on the side. I genuinely can't remember the game, but I would absolutely love it if you could find that board and use it to beat Dark Souls.

Some other ideas which might be possible without tonnes of reprogramming:
Flight Stick (or Steel Battalion Controller)
Steering Wheel with the Logitech Heavy Equipment Side Panel (redefine farming in game)
Graphic Tablet (might need something other than a keyboard for it to count though.
Non-Traditional Keyboards (A few out there would definitely be different enough from a regular keyboard)
Light Gun (This one might take some reprogramming to feed shot co-ordinates in as joystick movement)
Touchscreen
Arcade Stick
Xbox Adaptive Controller
Not suggesting a controller, but I think when you did the wii zapper run, you mapped the IR motion controls to analog stick inputs? The camera was really jerky. You should try mapping them to the mouse. Sometimes I map the gyro of my DS4 to the mouse and it's pretty great for aiming. But then again, it's not like stopped you from beating DS2.
I didn't see it mentioned in my exhaustive 7 second search of the comments, so I will mention: Senza has completed Borderlands 3 with a Powerglove. This only proves that the controller can be made to work with enough self destructive tendency.

I know you're not interested in doing regular controllers, but for the record do they not count? It seems like someone could easily get a ps3/ps4/ps5/xbox/joycon/switch pro controller and already have the vast majority done.
