I vehemently and violently hate DS2 I still think this is the most beautiful and majestic hub in the series. Everything about it feels like safety, the gentle breeze, the lapping of the waves. I want to sit by the bonfire and stare into it as I drift away.
On my last playthrough I actually had so much fun The first was tedious, long, almost 70 hours until I had beaten all DLCs Now I know what I must do, no more puzzling where I should put that danm Dragon stone, no more endless item farming, I already know what weapons I need Ds2 is awfully punishing at first, but the amount of weapons yoh can +10 makes that up for me Playing all other games, exept Ds3 maybe, I always have anxiety using that Slab or Blood Rock In Ds2, it just feels great getting your damage up to a maximum
After playing over 240 hours of Elden Ring, I had a strange compulsion to go back and hear the old music for all the hub areas in DS 1 through 3 and DAMN…..this one is the best one🙏
Out of the 3 dark souls games, sekiro, Bloodborne and Elden ring this is, in my opinion, the best hub. The music, the waves of the ocean, and the crackling of the fire.
"Bearer of the curse… Seek souls. Larger, more powerful souls. Seek the King, that is the only way. Lest this land swallow you whole… As it has so many others."
This is my least favorite of fromsofts games, but damn, this is the best hub in all the series, best atmosphere, best characters. If I died and woke up here, I would never leave.
Years of disease have made my body painful to live in. I found this video recently. I come here, to Majula, while I do exercises that may lead to a more free future for my body, mind, and soul from the tyranny of pain. This is a special place of rest and hope for me.
I listen to this many times a day, when doing some work or just staring at the roof in my bed thinking about existance. This past months have been rough and this relax me a lot when feeling overwhelmed. It makes me happy that others feel this way too. You are not alone on this, keep it up bearers of the curse 🖤
Sometimes when I don't know what to do, when I´m stressed or confused, I just play DS2 and stay in Majula, just hearing the sound of waves, seagulls and sometimes the clink-clank from blacksmith. That is so comfortable. It's my safe place to think, rest and take the courage to move on in my life. ….

Are you…the next monarch? Or… Merely a pawn of fate?
Bearer of the curse… I will remain by your side. Till this frail hope shatters…

bearer seek seek lest))
I don’t know why. It makes me sad.
This is such a great calming video for sleeping or studying or just plain relaxing. So glad someone put the ambience in.
thank you for this masterpiece
"Seek
Seek
Lest."

Probably the most memorable music out of the souls games as far as hub areas go
I heavily dislike DS2 for many reasons but I absolutely love the OST and the environments. Except snowfield
Seems good for painting warhammer minis.
Majula is easily the best hub
=,) Memories… <3
Thanks for actually getting the bonfire and crashing waves

ahh the healing sounds of the bonfire in majula….I come here to rest from the stresses of life
This is exactly what DS1, 3, and Elden Ring are lacking: the vibe that makes you want to come back over and over again, it's liking coming home.
Where's the blacksmith hammer?? 😭😭😭
I will never forget this place,…. No matter how far my journey takes me.
"Bearer of the curse… Seek… Seek.. Lest"
Majula, dear place…
The best hub area in all of the souls games.
I play this video almost every night, to the point where it helps me sleep easier when I’m away from home because it reminds me of home.
"Bearer of the curse… Seek souls. Larger, more powerful souls. Seek the King, that is the only way. Lest this land swallow you whole… As it has so many others."
Gets me everytime

comfortable loneliness

You are not alone on this, keep it up bearers of the curse 🖤
That moment when you find out the Doll is just a ripoff of the Emerald Herald.
This game worth playing? Ds3, BB, sekiro, ER done. Im onto DEmons souls remake soon. Tried ds1 but seems too clunky for me me to enjoy
"you better not be romanticizing your melancholic solitude"
Man I miss this game.
This is what comes to mind when I hear the term “brief respite”

"Seek souls most powerfull souls"
Hubs are doodoo. Ds1 had the best map layout. But this music makes it tolerable.
I Listened To this For All 10 Hours – Then clicked Replay 👍
