This is criminal… and thats supposed to be "PS3". Not even close to the actual PS3 version and they didn't even bother to deliver it with the PC version too.

Haha these poor chaps. They bring up the nice lighting over and over and over, not knowing what would happen to it. Though…. I wish I could have seen it in all its glory.

This is definitely not running on a PS3. It would not look this good or run this good as is.
just look at how much better the textures are… even better than the stock PC textures because they downgraded them even though they are still high res. Man they really gutted the game… thanks to consoles having such old hardware. they probably had to turn the graphics so far down it looked terrible so they had to swap for less intensive textures and whatnot. I have to admit that lighting does look a bit wonky though even if it does make the game pretty intense.
I am more let down on the complete downgrade and swap out of those highly detailed textures even on PC… now that's crazy. That place with the fire looks so much better, the place with the bookcases in the hallway, the undead dragon skeleton and that hallway with the statues and the lightning all look so much better before they gutted it all. I understand they might have overdone the graphics getting a bit ahead of themselves, but still, it's very sad. 🙁 Still great game and looks nice, but could have looked so much better as it once did.
WTF THE GAME WAS FINE!!!!! In the actual release they made the graphics look like shit. This looks more like a dark souls game. A dark souls game should look cryptic and intense.
I wanst joking when i said that this fame is easy. Conpared to ds1 and demon souls, this game is lije stealing souls froma baby.

Is it normal for dark souls 2 on ps3 to stop at a certain percentage of installing? (not frozen because the bonfire icon is still active)

In short, this game sucks balls.
Theres a lot of hacking on ps3. It almost makes the game unplayable online. For instance im constantly being invaded by the hacker kenpacheRAMASAMA at the kings gate. Someone please report this hacker. I dont knowhow to. He needs his account banned badly.
