How does pairing work? Should you hold off on moving into pool 3 until you can save up for a few cards?

The first Pool 3 card I unlocked was Ronan, are you going to do a video on how to "deck draft"? I have made myself a couple of decks that have gotten me up to Rank 50 better than any I've found online, but I'm struggling to progress further now that I'm in Pool 3. I never know whether it's the deck I've put together that's causing me to lose, or the strategy of playing those cards. Most of the time it's win or lose on the last turn, and if I lose, most of the time I can see a definite win condition if I'd just played in a different area with the last card. But I always predict the opponent's move wrong, even when I go against my own logical thinking to counter that, it just fails and they then go and do the logical thing. Thanks!
