Battlefield and Call of Duty are often characterized as two sides of the same coin fighting for dominance. But are they really that similar?

  1. As a CASUAL PLAYER I’m still playing BF2042.
Not a big fan of SBMM (in my opinion) and it’s nice to have Ol’ Gramma reviving me (if she notices if I’m down)

  2. i’ve enjoyed b2042 from the start, yes it’s not like the others, yes it could have been better, but it was different, unique with their specialists and the weapon changes on the fly, I feel like lately i’ve been playing wash rinse repeat games for years, even the most recent cod didn’t hit like the one in 2019, feels more arcady and a mix between cold war and 2019. I’ll stick with b2042 for now and just get excited about the little updates

  3. "Level competition" What? LevelCap must be completely delusional or hallucinating, Battlefield 2042 is for the most part dead along with the series future even if they release another one next year it'll bomb, MW2 numbers are out of this world by any measure, There is nothing even resembling a competition here, Battlefield is basically six feet under, You have to be pretty detached from reality to insinuate otherwise

  4. Im enjoying mw2 like mw19, expect for the movement, and SBMM, EOMM making every few games feel like a tournament which makes it hard to have fun in longers game sessions. I like 2042's freedom and casual playstyle i can play however i want and still perform well.

  5. All recent BF titles have taught me is that CoD never deserved to be insulted as much as it was.

  6. I’ve always enjoyed playing battlefield over COD, both are great! But after BFV being cut off and 2042’s launch, lack of content and issues I was left disappointed. I’ll play MWII and go back to older Battlefield titles instead of 2042 even after seeing good things being said about updates.

  7. Right on point! Thanks for making it clear, that there is room for both games, cause they are totally different experiences. I still hope for the next Bf being a much better game than 2042

  8. “Tried to do away with the scoreboard!”

You mean they ran out of time to add it…

As a huge battlefield fan myself, this whole video felt like a huge cope. I prefer battlefield over COD any day in general. But the new COD is far and away leagues better than 2042 in every way. It’s not going to kill battlefield in the future but I’d be shocked if 2042 made any sort of realistic comeback.

  9. PLEASE don't play hans zimmer ost EVER AGAIN it just make us suffer for the terrible ost in the new cod game ( most of the time is silence….. BORING)

  10. Graphics, variety of guns, Progression, camo progressions, all better in mw2
Maps are questionable in both games (specially the larger maps in mw2 feel fuckin weird when spawns are halfway in the middle of the battlefield)

I played both and mw2 keeps me hooked more. Yeah it doesn't have vehicle combat but in that regard i have warthunder. (Dont mind fighting vehicles but using them in 2042 is just wonky as shit)

The biggest issue i have with 2042 is graphics and Progression aswell as gunfeel.
It all feels like a prealpha build compared to mw2 on old gen.

If I wanna play battlefield I play bf4 or bfv, I don't think 2042 will ever grow into a better game. Dice might prove me a fool but I gave up hope since bf2042 beta. Back then I knew 2042 would be doa.
It's core game design was a failure alongside its poor graphics.
The updates since launch did basically nothing in my opinion, sure new guns, specialists, reworked maps, fixed shit ton of bugs and performance issues (might I add mw2 is almost flawless that regard? Other then a few glitches ai I didn't have any issues)
But in the end 2042 remained soulless

  11. you guys remember when battlefield and cod were two awesome games? remember that rap battle between both games? ohh the good old times….

  12. I play both of them. When I getting tired on one game I switch to another for a while and vice versa . Problems with new cod is the snipers getting an bit to much and tanks is op

  13. Battlefield took a well working formula and shat all over it. MW2 isn’t “killing” BF. BF can do that all by themselves. CoD has a huge fan base and a working formula that they stay true to in a way. BF is always trying to be revolutionary and different which sometimes works but lately has not been great.

Been playing both since the original MW1 and BFBC2.

  14. Let's be honest.
MW2 is doing its own thing sniffing glue in the corner.

    Battlefield, killed Battlefield.

  15. big franchises are like superpower countries. Lots of outside forces are trying to kill them and failed. But they will end up dieing because of the corruption from the inside

  16. Battlefield is killing it self. Bf4 was the last good bf that actually felt like a bf game.

  17. I’m a HUGE Battlefield fan, I was 11 when I use to play Bad Company 2, so I’ve been here for the last 5 launches.

It all started at BFV. And it wasn’t the game itself, it was their CREATIVE CHOICES when they made the atmosphere of the game. 1st was their original trailer, the ABYSMAL fantasy variant of WW2 and then the wacky character customization.

Battlefield, while not mega realistic mil-sim, was all about PRESENTATION, bf3 you were a normal solider bf4 you were a normal soldier bf1 you were a normal soldier BfV you’re a female Japanese fighter while playing as… the Germans??

It’s SO SO SO obvious as a fan of the series, EA/ Dice whoever idk how to point the finger anymore, that the people who made BFV simply didn’t play/understand what made the previous games great. The atmosphere and demolish mechanics was the key seller, and battlefield sold out, the stuff isn’t even existent anymore.

I really hope Vincent Zampella can realize this and bring back Battlefield. It all starts with the dev team knowing what the culture of Battlefield the franchise is.

Right now, (and man… I hate to admit this so much after having 2000hrs of battlefield gameplay across all titles) Bf2042 is a cheap version of MW2, and BF2042 had 1 more year on the market than MW2. I hate to roast my boys at EA/Dice but wake up to reality :”(

  18. There are exactly 2 consistent servers in LATAM; 1 AoW and 1 Portal CQ128, if you don't like the map or team are unbalanced there´s nothing you can do and if both are full you can't even play. Player count can't be understated specially with 2042's terrible matchmaking system and lack of server browser

  19. Battlefield has its problem but I’m loving the play style and enjoy playing on my free time.

  20. The teamwork angle is soo true. Not even comparable. There is teamwork in BF and none in CoD. That aspect really gets to me.

  21. I'd probably still be playing 2042 and never even touched MW2 if it wasn't for the awful input delay on console.

  22. Went from BF to Hunt: Showdown nothing compares to hunts fights and skill at the highest level for me

  23. I like both. If I want to rush and kill things, COD. If I want something smooth with some tactics and teamwork BF. Pretty much sums up my mood

  24. Dice and EA are doing just fine killing Battlefield on their own, they don't needs COD's help.

  25. Call of Duty’s default multiplayer offering hasn’t been good for a long time. Gunfight was joyous but it’s a small part. My love for cod extends to the campaign and the fun thrills they evoke but WARZONE in particular and hopefully DMZ next. BF 2042 is a disaster. And I loved BFV. I’ll play new ones. I’m dedicated. But they’re so mixed and they’re both still here
