So, V's demons were manifestations of his trauma from when Vergil was Nelo Angelo. By refusing to merge back into Vergil and getting Dante to kill them they're effectively sparing Vergil from having to live with that pain. They killed themselves so that his life would be better.
Nero breaking up the Vergil/Dante fight and then his theme taking over as the boss music is Nero officially taking control of the series, NERO is the main character of Devil May Cry now.
Dante and Vergil together in the underworld forever sounds like a sad ending but it's honestly a happy ending for both of them. They finally got their family back, somebody to love them and protect and they're both so strong there's no real threat to their lives.
I dived into the DMC fandom back when the reboot game released, but I was already a fan of Vergil’s character by then. This game was kind of a dream come true for me when it finally happened. Not only did it officially bring the classic Vergil back after many years, but his return was central to the story. And as Dante’s and Vergil’s only family, Nero was the one to finally end the bloodthirsty nature of their feud. I love this game so much.
Any plans y’all might play through the game again as Vergil for the unique opening and ending scenes? You can just watch them on YouTube as well but Vergil is really fun to play as, and it’d be a shame for you to go through all of these games without experiencing what true motivated power feels like

Hideki Itsuno coming Half in the Games and not Bad Jobs Because Gameplay DMC 2 look like DMC 3,4 look like just little différence.
I advice play Devil May Cry 1 and you understand why it's my Favorite with Devil May Cry 5.

Oh my God you missed the most (well, after the first DT activation that is) hype and important part of the Nero vs Vergil, using Buster on him for a sick cinematic move, ahhhh could've ended the fight perfectly 😅😅😅

And with that we end the saga, congratulations to the players😆. Maybe you two want to see the story of the reboot the saga someday, called DmC: Devil May Cry, it's very, very different and a little weird. Come come God of War.
1:05:30 V's Summons, the remnants of Virgil's nightmares and conciousness whne he as Nelo Angelo, where actually DMC1 bosses.
In the first DMC1 after the events of DMC3, Vergil was defeated y the Dark Emperor Mundus, and revived has a Dark Knight, Nelo Angelo.
Wich Dante faces off multiple times through the game and defeats him in the end.
The Summons V's has, are Griffin, who was the 2nd Boss of the game, the giant Eagle like demon that shooted lightening and that Dante told to "Flock off feather face"
Shadow, the Shadow Panther, who was a Miniboss you face off early in the game, who's a shapeshifting feline made out of Pure Darkness and shadows.
And Nightmare, who's an almagation of various Demons corpses and essence, it was a Boss that Dante faced off in the Underworld and the Mirror dimension.
For long time players of DMC, when people saw them, it was obvious has day what V's identity really was…
Just wanted to recommend that you watch the "devil may cry 5 – gangsta's paradise sons of sparda" tribute video by yellowmotion. Since i feel that after finishing the game you would appreciate the true epicenes of the video.

So happy for you all to finally finish dmc. Its one of my favorite games series of all time
To be honest when I saw this I hoped they knew how to fight vergil as Nero since Nero is easier to use than Dante but I was a little disappointed.
So now that you’ve seen the entire series, I recommend watching In the Mind of Nero, Dante and Vergil. Each video goes into detail about each characters motivations, why they fight and everything. King J Grim did a lot of research for them, and it shows

That scene with Vergil's comeback and Nero learning that he (Vergil) was his father, still gives me goosebumps.
Highly, highly, highly recommend watching LeahXP's Devil May Cry Journey videos. They're hilarious and emotional and will give you a taste of the combat in the previous games as well. Heck, maybe you can even react to them too.
