  1. Happy Sunday everyone! Thank you so much for your patience with me while I made this video. It means a lot and I hope that you enjoy this. I’m already so pumped to go back and explore the rest of this area and hopefully meet the boss, too!
Have an amazing week ahead and take care of yourselves

  2. Well said! Oh I can’t wait to see your DS3 gameplay! You’re one of my favorite gamers on YouTube

  3. Glad to see you take on Anor Lando. The club that the mimic dropped is a divine weapon if I'm not mistaken so use it when you fight the skeletons. As you can see, the giant black smith is able to turn normal weapons into boss weapons once they are +10 and you have the appropriate boss soul. Instead of the sword of artorias I went with the shield that can be crafted with the same soul and its amazing. It has 88 stability so I'm pretty much invincible when I'm using it to defend against physical attacks. He also sells twinkling titanite which is expensive but can be used to upgrade the black knight swords you have in your inventory. PLEASE invest in those. They are extremely powerful. They can only be upgraded to +5 but that is already an equivalent to a +10 weapon or better. I'll be praying for you cuz the boss in this area will likely give you a lot of problems so good luck 😬. I hope you prove me wrong. Can't wait for your next episode the following week 💯.

  4. You've missed a bonfire between the 2 other Anor Londo bonfires. Think rotating stairs.

  5. I gotta love how you open the video talking about just having fun with the game and not stressing about dying loads (which is great! you should! that’s the fun of first-time playthroughs!) and then stepping into Anor Londo, gravity’s best friend.

  6. Loved the video Emmalition!
Anor Londo is one of the most fall-prone locations in any from fromsoft game I've played. Those Silver Knights are downright trolly the way they are positioned to knock you off. Glad you played through it though. And not just because I enjoy a good fall. 🤣

  7. On this day of our Lord Miyazakism extremus; we come together to yell at a screen where parkour is needed, surprised that the arrow throwing knights didn't produce a rage quit and will be very ready to see death by Pokemon soon enough. Happy Hunting to all.

  8. Thank you for the video & for keeping us up to date. I appreciate that. The most important thing about playing a game (or doing anything basically) is to have fun. Also, there is indeed no shame in looking up stuff sometimes if you are stuck. We've all been there. I mean, it is not like forgetting about the ability to fly, while being a flying creature.

  9. Yesss, I agree about everything you said at the beginning! Enjoy the experience 💖⚔️

  10. Fun episode! Regarding your endurance, you have a good amount but are keeping your shield up alot which means you regen you stamina slower. Also you're doing heavy attacks which use more stamina.

Great job with the silver knight. The key was a perfectly timed roll and not relying solely on your shield. No shade on using a shield though.

  11. I think there's a limit to looking stuff up. You definitely rob yourself of the discovery at the same time you save yourself the frustration. As a viewer it's rare to see someone actually lost and have to explore in Dark Souls, but it's not like it was a tricky puzzle or something.

  12. 45:14
    Mario be like

also use the grass crest shield! It'll help a TON w/ your stamina.

  13. This is a classic Dark Souls challenge level and you handled it like a boss. Since you got past the archers already (really well too) there's a cheese. You can use poison arrows on them. It's easy to look up but you obviously don't need it. As for the Greatsword of Artorias, it never did as much for me as a +15 claymore, or a +15 zweihander. In fact the zweihander is amazing and can basically carry you through the game!

  14. On my first play-through, for the two archers on the ledge, I resorted to using a longbow and poison arrows and just waiting for a few minutes for the poison to kill them. Arrows do less damage the farther away the target is, so the arrows physical damage was very low, but the poison effect does not change relative to distance. It just takes about 4 arrows in a relatively short time period for the poison to take effect.

  15. Anyone who thinks DS3 is best is a wonderful person and a hottie and is right 100%
(but only if they think so after playing all da soulsekirobornering games first)

  16. i think the shield armor guys will die faster if you try to roll thru and get behind them…cuz those shields can be cumbersome to deal with…u gotta like wait for them and go back and forth if u stay in front of them.

  17. keep in mind when you read a message the orientation of it is like how text is naturally read as in the length of the graphic on the floor will determine the direction the message is referring to. like for messages that say "here" its most likely referring to what is directly in front of it.

  18. So you finally met the infamous Anor Londo snipers xD It's never a good time pass through that silver knight archer!

  19. emma i know deep inside u were raging at the archer portion of this area…but i just want u to know that i laughed my ass off and it gave me great joy lmao. its like i was time warped back to 2011 when i died many times just as u did.

  20. Hey Emma. I got into these games a couple of years ago myself, so it's been really fun watching you experience them for the first time. It gets me through that first hour and a bit of Monday mornings when I'm pretending to work. Don't worry too much about the progression each episode, as long as you're enjoying the game that's the main thing. Also, never be ashamed to look up something if you're bashing your head against a wall. The community for these games has built up a wealth of knowledge on them in the wiki etc., it's there to help.

  21. What awaits you in that boss door, is perhaps one of the greatest and most iconic battles in the entire Dark Souls saga, that's all I will say…. And at 37:08, that room, you should epxlorate it a lot more thoroughly, there's quite a bit in there, all the way to the bottom, where that painting is…

Remember your own words Emma, don't suffer, don't stress, try to have fun and enjoy it and if you die 30 times, so be it, it's part of the FromSoft experience, greetings from a gamergirl fan of yours, from Mexico City =)

  22. About the Mimic chests, the chains looks different from the normal chests and if you look closely at the chest for idk 4 or 5 seconds you can notice it's breathing or moving slightly also kill it for the chest loot.

  23. Great watch as always. This is one of the places you might want to look around a bit to find your onion friend, he might not stick around if you beat the area boss.
If anything, you make the game look easy by being so good at it! It anoys me. You need to get stuck more or I might feel bad at the game!

There is no shame in looking stuff up, but I hate it when the game makes you feel you have to! The game is about exploration and discovery and every time you get stuck without even knowing where to look the game has failed. Misunderstand me correctly, DS1 is one of my favourite games, but sometimes the only way forward is way to obscure (That arch being a prime example). It is ok if there are optional things in places like that, but this is literally nesseccary in order to progress. I would not be surprised if a lot of people would thing they'd have to go elsewhere to progress at that point..

  24. That “Try bonfire” message is really mean and misleading for new players, but to explain why would be a hooooge spoiler for future Emma… (if you’re in the know…)

  25. The Anor Londo archers are &#^ – maybe the most frustrating bit of the whole game. You actually did quite well getting past them so quickly.

Gotta love the zweihander (German for two-hander). It's one of the best strength weapons in the dark souls games. Give the 2 handed R2 a go – it absolutely pancakes most enemies!

  26. Rule 3 of Dark Souls Club – More haste = Less speed
As you are an Elden Lord, suprised you missed the old run up the butress route, luckily there were no giant ball bearings !

  27. Happy Monday!! Lol love watching your play through so far! I would say just enjoy the game your way! Don’t put pressure it’s fun watching I’m playing through this game for my first time and have been having a great time

  28. You did great in Anor Londo, especially with the archers. I just cheesed them with poison arrows. Lol.

Ya need to stop apologizing Emma dear. Your content is hilariously entertaining. Just chill, explore and have fun while being you. It is all we want.

  29. Yeah, I've beed waiting for this 🙂 Reaching the balcony where two archers is waiting for you is EPIC in this game. I think is one of the most epic things in Soulsborne games ever 🙂 and of course, we wait for boss fight in this area 🙂 Also epic 😉 Can't wait 🙂

  30. The chest issue, it is not about the chain, but how it is looks like. If its towards you – that's mimic. That's it.

  31. Don't worry the archway with the black knights is one of the worse small areas in the game!! Keep going!

  32. Mimic chest chain curves forward while the regular chests have a chain that curves to the back.

  33. Weapon upgrading in DS1 is relatively complicated compared to the later games (although I've not played ER yet). If you have a weapon that's +10 or higher, you can trade it plus a compatible boss soul for a boss weapon. I've never used the Greatsword of Artorias, so I can't say whether it's worthwhile. However, if you select it, a nice little comparison screen will appear showing all the stats before and after the upgrade side by side, so you can base your decision off of that. Keep in mind that the boss weapon will not be upgraded, so its damage might be a bit lower than the +10 claymore. You mainly want to look for scaling, status effects or other unique properties of the weapon (e.g. Quelaag's sword scales off of humanity), and the character stat requirements to wield it.

The thing to be cautious of when using elemental upgrades is that it changes or eliminates weapon scaling. So if you have high strength, you wouldn't want to infuse your weapon with fire or lightning because that would remove the strength scaling.
