It has been fifteen hundred years since the fall of our forebears, and Valisthea has been slowly dying ever since. Darkness spreads as day gives way to twilight, the Mothers’ flame now all but a flicker. And as the fringes fade, the people flock to the Mothercrystals.

    I did not expect the game will be out so soon. With all the inevitable delays we could be playing it within an year.

    Is this a mobile game? the cutscenes aren't bad, but the ingame isn't great.

    Man, i am so jaded by the disaster that was XV. There hasn't been a really great solo FF title since X. XIV imo is the only thing keeping FF and SE afloat right now. This trailer looks cool, and I'm encouraged that Yoshi and Soken are involved, but I'll wait for the reviews before I commit to buying this.

    So the picture at 4:05 basically shows from left top anticlockwise, ramuh, garuda, titan, odin, bahamut and leviathan (prolly a secret summon?) going against the horned figure which looks like ifrit on phoenix or something else to note tho is at the side of the wings, theres the form of a bloodsin which we know is from vagrant story grants power over the dark so if were going by darkness summons in ff, maybe diablos makes an apperance. Cant wait dammit!

    1:47 in that frame do i see buildings just below the rock near a vulcano? Also, Jill is Shiva, and Jill is the narrator voice in this trailer? At 2:30 is that guy clive? Transforming in Ifrit and betray everyone??? So many questions can't wait

    It is wrong to say the Final Fantasy franchise has lost its spirit by abandonning turn based combat, with battle menus, open world (when it was actually mostly closed maps)…
    It might have been part of the franchise for a long time, but it has never been the true essence of Final Fantasy.
    Final Fantasy is all about telling a story, and telling it grandiosely, with fantastic visuals, music and epic battles.

    I am pretty sure the new combat system has created much more hype.
    At the very least, much more than if they had shown some turn based combat with idle characters standing in front of idle monsters, each waiting for their turn to attack…
    The comment section would've been full of jokes on how ridiculous it is…

    Unless you want to stay stuck in the NES/SNES era, and cater to a very loud minority, you won't reach out to new players.
    Times are changing, tastes are changing, and if Final Fantasy cannot adapt to that it is doomed to fail.
    The franchise is evolving, and it is taking the right direction.

    Now i truly hope they will support a resolution of 5120x1440p.
    Alot of them don't, like FF VII remake, en yes there are fixes to this, but when you make it pretty allow for lot's of different resolutions this time pls.

    Hmmm, looks like they had to downgrade the quality of the assets a little. Probably to be more in line with what the current gen consoles can handle.

    they have been hitting it out of the park with these trailers, so cinematic and almost 5 minutes with this one, the last one was like 4 as well, they're not afraid to show a lot off.
