  1. Everyone knows the real reason they play on Son of Sparda, longer combos also my main combination for Dante was Sword and Gun but that was 4 I've only play the demo of 5 ALOT and I'd say Nero is my favorite based on a mix of complexity but also how simple he is plus he can ride his arm like a gaht damn rocket board like CMON

  2. glad you enjoy it. DMC 5 was made for everyone, but only combo crazy people will enjoy the full package in Dante must Die or Bloody Palace. Easy for me to say, I was trained with dmc 3 and its my only platinum Trophy i have, i didnt even want to 100 % it, i just played the game and enjoyied all the difficulty lvls and it just happaned naturally.

I would not advise you to play DMC 4. DMC 5 is far more technical than any other DMC, its straight up a downgrade. DMC 3 has a great Story, my favorite, yeah Graphics might suck a bit but the Story is so well done and the Cutscenes and the sound omg …when i played it the first time, i knew it would take decades to make a better game and i would still argue that DMC 3 and 5 are on equal footing.

  3. And then you play Bayonetta and think, "oh shit, now I got trickster, swordmaster, gunslinger and royalguard (maha kahlaa) at the same time."

  4. The reason why DMC is still going with the drip feed of weapons and items is because it's a game about replayability, which also is why it doesn't give you all the difficulties right out the bat. You get better and better as you go through the campaign, experiment, figure out the ways to fight different demons, and get more confident in trying to do more stylish and aggressive things like "I know this enemy's attack patterns now, time to go Royal Guard." I think a great way to learn is to just try something different if an enemy is giving you trouble – like, "Man I hate fighting Furies, opening them up almost requires I do a parry. But King Cerberus has a lot of fast, multi-hitting attacks…"
Vergil might seem complicated but actually he's ez modo.

  5. dmc 5 is damn near the worst one lmao… its the same thing with 4 bruh… you gotta play through complete dogass in order to get to the fun part of the game… backfoward x+a/square+circle is the dumbest fuckn combination of all time.. some of the moves in the game do not activate after doing the right input… neros fuckn moveset will always be dogshit compared to dante, vergil, anyone…

  6. Yeah Dante is the crux of the game once you get a basic understanding of his moves and the timing of his attacks you could practically parry anything…hell I did it a lot with Dmd vergil in DMC3, it was hella satisfying, once you learn how to parry using only Rebellion…damn that's god tier, you learn how to parry with Beowulf shit the timing is down to a tea, when you learn to parry using nevan in swordmaster well shit dog you won the game, for Dante it's about knowing your arsenal understanding every limit of it and then stringing them to create a combo, I'm still disappointed they didn't add a menu where you can switch with every style he's ever gotten like his menu for the weapons where you can switch which weapon is cycled first and which weapon can stay; he's got doppleganger, quicksilver, his own dark slayer style, and I wish they brought those back.

  7. Imagine playing as dante and just pressing one button and expecting him to play himself.
    A true journalist level braincell.

  8. I mastered vergil and dante. I spam click every button i can on whatever opponent can eat it and pray they don’t have iframes for whatever i pull with sin devil trigger

  9. Vergil is easier to learn than Dante. Plus his World of V move summons V to do a bunch of damage

  10. Struggling to learn how to play Dante, is how I became a Vergil main 🤣🤣🤣

  11. It's funny cuz vergil is actually a lot more beginner friendly than Dante or Nero in my opinion. He's hard to master, but his damage output is something else

  12. I find Vergil really easy but rewarding to play by comparison. Someone in the comments said he's like playing as the boss and I definitely agree.

All his weapons have a mash button combo, a pause combo, and 3 lock-on moves (forward, backward, back-to-forward).
For summon swords there are 4 moves other than shooting, 3 of them are the exact same as the lock-on moves and the 4th is just hold the gun button.

Once you matter one weapon you pretty much have the blueprint for everything else and from then it's just learning to switch to another weapon. The Concentration moves are the only other thing to consider but I'll let you see those for yourself 🙂

  13. Easy way to learn Dante is going to the bloody palace with just two guns and two devil arms and learn how to use those four things and once you styling with those four move to the next four 😌
Also, royal guard release is good to deal with furies

  14. Actually every Capcom game teaches you to be good at the game not just Devil May Cry 5

  15. Great video yup as a Dante main he takes a lot of time and dedication good luck to you

  16. If you've ever played an old MMO called Elsword, there's a chance you might have played as the character "LuCiel", which is actually two characters in one that you switch between constantly during gameplay. After a while, you start to realize that instead of thinking of it as learning to play two characters, it's better to think of it as swapping between "modes". This is the first thing that came to mind for me the first time I played Dante in DMC5, which I actually played before DMC3 and DMC4.

The learning curve for both of these things is very similar in how you should be approaching it. Information overload is very easy to fall into, but don't let the wide range of options intimidate you. Think of it as charting out a map. There's a lot of ground to cover, but you can do so at your own pace. Whatever parts of his toolkit resonate with you best and you feel like you do best with, stick to that at first and just really get familiar with that part of his toolkit specifically. This is going to be the starting point of your "map" from which you expand on later.

Once you've got that familiar homeground to start from, slowly start working more things into your combos. Experiment around, find something neat, and start learning more little by little, expanding your knowledge of what does what and what can combo into what and etc. Don't rush it, let everything come to you naturally at your own pace. As you slowly start to expand your range of familiarity with what the character can do, you'll start to feel more ideas for what can work together with what, and you'll gradually see your skill level improve as you work more and more of his toolkit into your playstyle.

Technically, the "correct" way to learn Dante is to play DMC3, then 4, then 5, as his toolkit slowly grows from game to game, but not everyone is going to have access to that and it can form some bad habits anyway. I think it's better to just slowly map out his capabilities in your brain, expanding your knowledge of his toolkit and working more and more of it into your playstyle at your own pace.

  17. I felt the same way playing DMC 1 when I was 7 years old I spammed the guns thinking that this is how I play the game imagine my surprise when I press another button and I do a sword slash

  18. One of the greatest "power rush" in any game is when I only used royal guard to beat lighting sword.

  19. oh man i had the same feelings, even i already had hundreds hours in DMC3. Dante in DMC 5 get me frustrated… due of skill gap and so much-much time to learn him, and fil it gap.

  20. you should buy this game on steam if u can and play with the coop mod its really nice to play with a friend me and my best friend played the campaing like 6 or 7 times on different difficulty modes

  21. I have like 150 hours with Dante and I still don't know half his moves. So Yeh, try to learn Dante and it'll take years. So I'd say differentiate a little between characters a bit because the more you learn one character, you can also apply parts of it so other character.

  22. Speaking for myself…. DMC5 characters from easiest to hardest to play; V, Vergil,. Nero, Dante…. Funnest to play; Vergil, Dante, V, Nero.

Vergil is basically a streamlined Dante. He has three melee's, 2 of which you're already used to.. mirage edge works exactly like rebellion/DSD… Some details aside, Beowulf works similarly to Balrog just slower/stronger. Yamato is unique but easy enough to master, fast area attacks. Vergil has 1 "gun" weapon his mirage swords that he fires like Gilgamesh. Nice and easy. The consideration bar while allowing you to do amazing super attacks (or 3 super attacks in SDT) isn't as important for his basic attacks so don't worry about it at first.

V is easily could be the easiest the main thing is to keep you distance and decided basically which pet to summon to do a dodge when need and call upon Nightmare when you need something to die immediately.

Nero while in some ways simpler than Dante does suffer in my opinion do to the arms. Constantly broke them, does get better after his upgrade (his glowing arms at the end of the game) I just never got into his groove very well.

Now Dante is easily the most complex but also the funnest to play as but he does both suffer and gain from his vast arsenal. But once you get good at really; Trickster, Sword Master, and gunslinger. I thoroughly enjoyed this game and still play it.

  23. yo really fun video man, i would love to see more progress videos. and vergil is not as complicated compared to dante in my opinion. give him a chance after your dante experience!

  24. For Vergil I'll say the only problem most beginners have is not using the judgment cut efficiently. The damage makes quick work of any demon and bosses

  25. Dante compilations are insane. You really gotta play the game for dozens of hours to learn some strings, let alone the enemy attacks and when to Royal Guard them.

  26. Bro ive beaten the series on dmd (minus dmc2 and reboot) and still when I look at top level gameplay the only thought going through my mind is "how many hours do these people have"

Also instead of 4 I'd recommend the HD collection instead, I'm biased but I think 1 and 3 are the best games in the series and if this is a series you consider playing its better to see its roots sooner than later
