I’ll buy it on Switch for the novelty although I doubt I’ll finish it since I already beat the original Persona 5 and I got the platinum trophy for Persona 5 Royal. I really wish it came out on the switch in the first place. I envy those who are going to play it for the first time. You’re in for the greatest RPG of all time imo.
Never owned a PS4 so switch will be the first console i play P5 on, preordered physical copy! 🧙🏻♂️⚡️

I never finished P5 on the PS4 so having it on the go is perfect! I'm getting this.
I'm gonna hold off since I got other games to catch up on and then Sonic and Crisis Core Reunion are going to take up the rest of the year for me. This will be the perfect game for me to play this winter/spring before Tears of the Kingdom releases.
The tough decision for me is do I get it on steam/steam deck or switch with the oled?
I already got P5 and P5R on PS4, but I have yet to finish the PS4 version of R. I am planning to get both the Switch and Steam versions of R, but have yet to decide if I want to take the time to finish it on PS4 (where I am roughly halfway through, not counting the 3rd semester) or if I want to just start fresh on one of the other 2 platforms due to the ease of playing portably.

I got my Switch copy yesterday. However, I'm not playing it yet because I want to finish Trails from Zero.
I bought the game for PS4. And i will pirate it if possible for a PC. It's the same content and i will not pay for the same game twice.

Double dip. Can't wait for my nintendo switch copy. Bought it on ps4 at launch and platinum trophy. Can't wait to spend 100+ hours of my life for this masterpiece. Persona without the portability kinda sucks. Double dipping again for P3 and P4G when it comes out next year.
I think P5R on Switch will sell extremely well. Three of my close friends who currently own PS4 versions of the game (Vanilla and Royal) are purchasing it for the Nintendo Switch and the same goes for me. Funny thing but after Vanilla I didn't care to go back again for Royal. I just didn't care to play the game over again then during its PS4 release and I doubt I'll go straight into P5R on Switch but the portability both handheld play and portable monitor/docked play I see myself more likely to return to P5. So I'd assume many owners of both platforms will be opting for the NSW port despite owning the game already on PS4. I do feel like the PS5 version is pretty pointless overall unless a user is new to PlayStation and is seeking a new retail copy.
Funny you mention XC3's DLC because I've added 30hrs to my save file since it dropped. I've been grinding out stones to get all the gems to rank 10 and classes to 20. Also Ino's quest was a blast and great for fans of XC2. When I find myself doing work I just have XC3's challenge mode going (Spoilers + capable hands then switch to Mio = profit) but still takes considerable time.
The switch version of this game better sell better the PS4 version with all the port begging thrown its way.
Need this game 😁 the only way for me to play it is on the switch so extremely exited!!

Sucks that the Switch version wont run at 60fps tho. This is why I will get the game on Xbox, but im still really glad that its available for every platformes.

I am glad to see the game getting a lot of recognition it deserved! I played through P5 once on PS4 at the time, now I am ready to play P5R on the go for the first time and experiencing newer content as I go through the base game story again the second time! Big W for all Persona and JRPG fans!
No upgrade path from PS4, no save transfer from PS4, full price again
This is a slap in the face by Sega/Atlus to all the fans that supported the game and bought it multiple times like myself for PS3, PS4(collector's edition) & PS4 again (Royal's collector's edition)
honestly as much as I wanted a portable edition I don't want to support them again especially not for full price.
I own the ps4 version of p5r but buying it again for the ps5 just for the steelbook but it's really dumb there no free upgrade for ps5

While anything that added a Sword fighter to Smash gets an 80 somewhere

Steam Deck all the way. 97 on metacritic. 60fps on the go at max settings. Switch is a blurry mess with crappy textures.
I have a Steam Deck and a Switch OLED. I chose to buy this on Switch because the art style of Persona will take advantage of the OLED screen very very well. The Steam Deck screen is mediocre at best. I'd play it at 30FPS on the Deck anyway to extend battery life so the FPS difference doesn't matter. Having it slightly downgraded isn't going to be a big deal on a 7" screen. OLED screens and P5 are matched so well.
If you haven’t played this game, go get it! You won’t regret it
