Here’s the latest episode of Dark Souls II Dissected, which is all about the chest found in the basement of the Majula Mansion (sometimes aka the “Treasure Box”). There was an online feature that allowed it to be stocked with new items, though sadly this was never used for Scholar of the First Sin and several weapon reskins were never made available for it.

I mean, DS2 had preorder weapons too. Got them for the playstation and never used them lol.
Stuff like this, the PVP in general, being able to invade solo hosts, the DLC, story, and build variety viability are why I still love DS2 the most to this day.

I don't like unic preorder bonuses (ain't DS2 had also some weird stuff like shield with spikes and straight sword with something golden quartz on the tip of the blade?), but you know what i don't like even more? Buying the same goddamn game again just because it got updated!

You can get them through a mule save, you can get the red caestus, moonliight longsword, golden axe and stuff like that, theyre just reskin, nothing else.

Damn, they should just make those weapons available somehow again. I played DS2 at launch on my Xbox360 but I was pretty poor and didn't have internet. In fact I didn't even play the DLC until I got the chance to years later on my PS4, in the SotFS version. It'd be something cool to have.

I had the PS3 DS2 SotFS and it was so weird. Having the Aldia and DLC's from the start, but no enemy changes like the PS4 version.
If nothing else, it'd be fun to get these unique weapons right at the start of new playthroughs. I'd consider doing another run through of the game if they did this, for sure!
To anyone playing on PC, there are several mods for Dark Souls 2 that add the timed chest items back to the game. The main one I can think of is "Tales of Drangleic", which is also just a great mod worth playing by itself!

Like most Japanese game devs, FROM has poor record of engaging their international audience. It's why the PC ports are always mediocre: in Japan consoles are much more popular.
I think the petition may be a lot more successful with a translation and some Japanese fans signing on.

There’s so much cut content in souls 2. So many hidden secrets and items, so many unique and out there ideas. Regardless of your opinion on souls 2, it makes it endlessly fascinating to dissect it
I was so sad I missed out on the unique Murakumo. The Murakumo was the only weapon I used for my entire first playthrough and I'm too dumb to use cheat engine to get the fancy one.

man i remember watching your content years ago. the ds1 vagrants one really stood out to me as i resisted buying the remake for so many years i only ever saw 1 white vagrant on the ps3 back towards it's release and it was like a precious moment to see something that damn near nobody ever saw… and always dropped by here and there when u dropped something new.
but stopped watching any souls content when ER dropped. crazy how many channels that have gone up 10-fold since from what i last remember them being.

This video makes me glad Elden Ring offers the alternative armor option, it's unfortunate weapons didn't get toggle-able reskins but there's a ton of weapons so I feel bad for even wanting that. Seasonal or weekend events would be cool as well, however the games as a service model comes with its own issues. Give me the white katana pls fromsoft.
Right now my PC is on the fritz. Any timed even I will miss, as I cannot play most games — I'm using the integrated graphics for work and other minor things, and I don't have money for a GPU, which died on me some months ago. If what you propose in your petition hasn't happened by the time I get a new working GPU, I will definitely sign.

Dark Souls 2 is such a weird game, such mysterious, I really cannot put my finger on it. Perhaps it's because I've never expected a sequel to Dark Souls. Had the most fun in this game, like it wasn't "high-quality" fun, but it came at the perfect time.
Didn't Dark Souls 2 also have unique pre-order items? There was definitely some gear but I can't remember if it was unique?
