The legendary dragon returns to the criminal underworld of Yakuza. I’m tempted to get the remastered collection but I’ve already played the 3 games on PS3 but I’ll also have all the Yakuza games on PS4 and the PS3 games are kinda blurry… I don’t know
Kiryu just fucking slumped motionless for so long is fucking hilarious and looks so out of place.
Maybe they thought having Kiryu lie down would make him look weak.
Seriously, with how little Kiryu is moving I'm fairly certain he's a corpse and everyone else is just not comfortable talking about the stench because they fear the Dragon of Dojima will come back to life and beat the shit out of them..

It's hilarious how out of the loop every Yakuza who went to prison is when they got out, because apparently nobody ever visited them or wrote them to keep them up to date on stuff, the only exception being Kiryu visiting Kazama in Y0.

Considering that a lot of Omi Alliance characters are usually antagonists, it's kind of surprising that Majima is friends with Katsuya, then again they've been friends even before Katsuya got involved with the Yakuza. Look forward to one of the wilder finales in the series imo lol

Wonder what each character's boss is going to be. I guess akiyama has kanai. Saejima might have majima if he really is working with the chairman which leaves kiryu with the chairman. So who is shinada's final boss then?

22:18 It was missed by the translation, but Saejima says the reason Kiryu is slumped over the bar counter is because of his wound―having been shot in the flank, unlike Saejima, who got shot in the arm―so he needs to rest his upper body on something to be free of pain.
This makes sense since the human body engages the flank muscles, along with the lower back and the abs, for postural control by reflex when sitting or standing.

That was the theme of Yakuza 5 was dreams. And Yokoyama the creator of the Yakuza series wanted to have this theme expanded into the characters. Not only that but Yokoyama wanted to have better graphics that displayed the ages of the characters and introducing the first playable female character of the Yakuza series, Haruka Sawamura. There is a video that analyzes Yakuza 5 and it's characters going into more detail about the theme as well.
