  1. This aggravates me. I REFUSE to once again buy a game that's more than ten years old. Bethesda doesn't get any brownie points fron me for coming back a decade later to do bugfixes. They need to quit wasting time messing with yesteryear's game and work on TES 6 before I get so senile I forget why I wanted to play it.

  2. What time is it?

    It’s about 3:50am.

Oh right. Time to buy Skyrim again.

  3. Im very confused
so i have the physical game of skyrim
    i see the update
i think "nah i don't want to pay that 20 some bucks for little things"
    i boot up the game
    I have the update anyways
    like seducers and saints
    fishing mechanics
    wild horses

im on switch so idk if i broke something or what but there wasn't even a download period
    just Boom
    there it is

  4. I can't get past where the Jarl explains about the Greybeards at the beginning of Way Of The Voice. In the last weeks I've restarted from the beginning with and without mods several times.
Sounds like one of the updates is to blame.
I'm pretty sure I don't know how to go back to an earlier version of the game.
At the end of August I stopped playing Fallout 76 in favor of Fallout 4 and Skyrim. Looks like I'll be spending a lot of time in Fallout 4, yet again🎃😷✌

  5. 70 bucks is way too much for the Anniversary Edition. Right now on Xbox I can get the Anniversary Edition for the same cost as the anniversary upgrade, it's on sale for 20 bucks, and I'm not even sure I want to pay THAT much for it.

As a side note, one of these updates seems to have fixed the menu lag/stutter I used to see on the main menu (and even the Creation Club menu) before loading a game. It used to be that in order to get a smooth menu I had to launch the game offline, but it seems fixed now. It had been a problem ever since the Anniversary Edition launched, so yeah they're just now fixing that.

On the other hand it's showing updates for the Rare Curios, Saints & Seducers and Fishing content, though it seems bugged. If I go to the details of any of those it shows the "UPDATE" button, yet when I click it it shows a brief "Downloading" display before going back to the update button. If I back out of the details screen they disappear from the update list, and if I close the Creation Club menu it tells me the data files need to be reloaded, yet if I go back into the Creation Club menu (even after closing the game) those same things pop right back up in the update list. So no idea what's going on there.

  6. i just bought skyrim for the first time. i played it some back in 2011, but not much. excited to finally play through it.

  7. They're going to continue updating Skyrim 'til the next one comes out. And probably even after that. Everyone's poking fun at Bethesda/Howard for all the re-launches… but they'll open their wallets each and every time. Joke's on us.

  8. Oh god im a console player and i just finally got my mods all figured out. Im ok with literally everything being broken as long as my skin overlays are in tact 🙏

  9. I'm really hesitant to give any extra chances to Skyrim. The anniversary update corrupted all my saves and made my game crash every 10 minutes. Fallout 4 did the same thing actually.

Bethesda developed games just don't work for me at all it seems.

  10. Wish I could get that creation club menu disabled on the steam version especially considering I use mo2 to mod and play the game to begin with.

  11. They should not have updated a 11 year old game that has an active community of modding around it.
No I will not buy Skyrim more than once and if you did, you're at fault for it being worst than it should be.
Also if you don't understand how rewarding a company for doing basically nothing is bad, then buy it 3 more times I guess.

  12. yeah the breaking of the mods destroyed my long term rp playthru. even after them fixing everything my game will freeze no matter what save i load. i feel like i lost a part of me lol

  13. “After these updates you’ll wanna reinstall Skyrim again” me tryin to find 1 of these reasons worthy enough to install Skyrim again 💀

  14. Oh god… when I watched this video a week ago I though "Haha why should I buy Skyrim AGAIN? lulz"… guess who just bought Skyrim… again…

  15. So, this is why PO3's Script Extender, Tweaks, and Spell Perk Item Distributor aren't getting updated right now.

  16. I bought one version so every new version I pirate since it's stupid to pay for an update.

  17. The fact that the Unofficial patches didn't have to start again from scratch (as in zero, or close to zero known bugs) after every DLC for- or re-release of Skyrim is (or rather should be) a scandal.
Skyrim has been re-released every five years and there are still (from my understanding) bugs from the original release back in 2011, even though the community fixed them years or, in some cases, probably, a decade ago!

  18. Did they even fix the switch aniversary version yet? I want to get it but I don't want to spend money on a crappy dlc

  19. I bought Skyrim on G.O.G. for $13.99. Most of the mods I use are already updated or can be substituted for. Frostfall and Campfire do not work yet, but there are mods that make Survival Mode not half as horrendous, and there are alternate camping systems. Get your game together, then remove the Wi-Fi circuit boards from your PC, and you won't have to worry about updates anymore. You can still connect when wanted through Ethernet. G.O.G. Skyrim has bears that can catch you running, and NPC animations not seen before, to name a few. The sun is a nice round ball, not the blurry smear that other versions have. I recommend it, it will only get better. Launch it through SKSE.

  20. i wish steam could roll back versions like that without having to do it from steam console with depot ID and all that nonsense. almost 20 yearsof gaming on steam makes it difficult to endeavor into new platforms/stores like GOG.. already gave in to Ubisoft and started using their launcher/store, but it would be nice if we're able to minimize the fragmentation of our PC gaming experience between way too many launchers/stores/etc

  21. Sir, I thought for years maybe I was having hallucinations and that I swear a mannequin moved once in skyrim 😂 I did not know this was a bug.

  22. there is not a single reason to pay 25 bucks for a 11 year old game. if anything, you're delaying the next TES game by clinging to skyrim and ESO. Force bethesda to make the next game.

  23. I think that the reason for the updates is because the next Elder Scrolls is somewhere on the horizon and getting closer and closer every month and they want to slowly continue updating Skyrim because they rightly foresee that when the next game comes out new players will want to go back and play Skyrim and old players will too. They want to make sure all the tiny things are taken care of.

  24. I've spent over a decade and probably over a hundred bucks on one elder scrolls game, and it's not even my favorite one from the series. There's a lot of comedy in that…

  25. I was just starting to mod Skyrim again pretty heavily, does this mean I’m going to need ti get the GOG version? Will the steam version ever get the same update? Or will steams version just get left in the dust

  26. Todd Howard has come down the mountain and blessed us with more skyrim. In the mighty words of the great Howard "it just works"

But then them pesky squirrels got inside the soup and ate through my uncle's belly and he died.

  27. Fixing other useless s*** but still won't fix arkwind point with the graybeards and the location clearing

  28. This would never have happened if people would've tested the game and fixed any bugs and glitches 11yrs ago when it first came out. Then we wouldn't need dozens of updates or anything

  29. Who was waiting for this? Breaking mods no thank you. Betheseda is very annoying. First with the paid mods and now this.

  30. Honestly, when they said they were “Marked for Death” bug, I thought it was to fix the glitch where the shout stacks in the shouts menu, where one location won’t register that you got the shout. But, no. That glitch won’t be fixed.

  31. I play Skyrim on a console and the only thing I've noticed with some updates is scenes and places where I don't normally glitched or get bugged have actually become glitched or bugged..but there's way around them so I'm fine with it for now haha
