I personally wouldnt prefer a custom suit creator, im not sure why, but thats just my opinion.
I hope they will announce a trailer for spider man 2 because we though we were getting in D23 😢

It was done in Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart so I can't see why they couldn't do it here🤷♂️. Unlock a suit and then mix and match it
Also even Gotham Knights has this feature cause its not necessarily a hard thing to implement. You can change the Logo, Cowl, Arms and Legs
BOTH games have Unlockable suits that they can just Mix and Match AND change the colors. The 3rd option you mentioned is the BEST way.

What's the problem? You unlock a certain suit and with this you also unlock elements of this suit (logo, web pattern, the colors of pattern and suit overall). So you still have to unlock suit at first. For example, you won't be able to make the Raimi suit without unlocking it.

the marvel spider man 2 suit looks awsome but i think the wait of Spider-Man 2 is rlly gettin anoyying but were almost to 2023

Meh I stick with the default suit never cared about the skins. No offense but mod doesn't compare to the real deal. Insomniac puts a lot of time and hard work in the suits they build for the game so no. The suit and visor mods and powers are more than enough.
They could make customizable available after beating the game 100%
I'm skeptical of the costume creator for a game like Spider-Man because Insomniac prides themselves on attention to detail and Photo Mode. If you can mix & match suit elements around, are they really going to look great up-close?
This feature would be so cool. Making your perfect Spider-Man suit would just be insane. Sadly I don’t expect this feature though
For a game that doesn't even have a gameplay trailer out yet, you make way too many videos on Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
I hope youll be able to create suits. But not like completely everything. Just edit logos, colours, lenses/head pieces etc. Maybe you should be able to edit your suit with the pieces of suits you already got.
I feel like if we have to have a customisable suit, the best way to maintain the current system would be that each suit unlocks similar parts. The Last Stand Suit would unlock the jacket. Said parts would ideally be colourable. That I think is the furthest I would go with it.

They could maybe have a system similar to the one that is in Lego games, where you unlock different customization options for the character customizer, by unlocking the suit it comes from.

You kinda skipped some thought here. Of course you could create any suit you want, but that by any means disables the unlockable suits. If a system like this was made, whatever you get through unlockables is whatever you can use in your custom suit. For example, if you wanted to use the 2099 Logo in your suit, you gotta unlock it first. Then, you said this would be a pain for the developers, but there are too many examples of this that go crazier than just suit patterns, colors and logos. Halo Reach, Destiny, Sonic Forces. These not only changes your color, but your shape, and for that you gotta have entire models made. Considering Insomniac's Spider-Man uses the same base for all suits, just adding details here and there, this shouldn't be a big deal.
A create a suit system would be good but it should be an unlock for 100% the game
I think the customizable suit is a fantastic feature! sure it would be tough for them but if they put in the effort for this feature sales will totally skyrocket for them
I wonder if innsomaic would added customization to make our own version of spider man suit.

Honestly, no, I wouldn’t want Insomniac to add a suit customization feature in the game, I mean on paper, it sounds like an interesting idea but I’d prefer to see the same suits from Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales with some added new ones for Spider-Man 2 for both Peter and Miles.
Spider-man ps4/5 and Miles morales ps5 are the only games I've ever platinum'd, looking forward to doing it again for 2
