Today, we unearth an absolute classic that no one talks about and has only been released one time. Since this hidden gem doesn’t get the attention it so rightfully deserves, it’s up to me to market Skyrim to the masses in the name of Todd.

  1. This game and Fallout: New Vegas are my all-time favorites. Though between the two of them, I tend to favor the latter (New Vegas) over the former. But that does not take away my enjoyment for Skyrim.

  2. I just bought a Series S and the first game I installed was Skyrim, so I'm presently using firebolt to send burning goats tumbling down the mountainside just outside Winterhold.

  3. Matty you should do an open world step out moment tier list like you said. Could be short be would be oh so nostalgic for many games

  4. Skyrim I believe is a long placeholder for es6. Which I think will be LEGENDARY.

All good art takes time and ❤

  5. Despite the fact that Skyrim has and is overstaying its welcome I still love this game. I’m having a lot of fun playing the anniversary edition.

  6. Skyrim is an all right game on it's own, character's in it are forgettable for the most part, with some exceptions of course, quests feel ok but somehow fall flat at times, the environment is wonderful, specially on SE, the gameplay is definitely dated, but compared to previous TES games, is the easiest to pick up.

But what makes Skyrim great and wonderful is the community, the modders who go above and beyond to improve the game in insane ways or create new experiences from zero, specially right now. Between MCO, TDM, Skyrim Together. The custom voiced characters like SDA, Inigo, Auri, Lucien, etc. The mind blowing projects like Beyond Skyrim, Skyblivion and Skywind…

That's what makes Skyrim the best experience out there if you're willing to mod it. I honestly would find hard to play vanilla Skyrim these days, I almost finish my fully modded playthrough and I'm loving every second of it.

It's nice to see skyrim as it once was however, awesome video as always Matty!

  7. Hey don't make me miss Skyrim, I know how it works, pack it with new mods, fix the ongoing years long modlist, read about the lore, roleplay for a bit and then my new character will be abandoned after meeting the greybeards for the 64th time. Still great tho.

  8. You know, I believe that 10% of people in the world now has this "itch" where you play bethesda games (mostly skyrim or fallout), played for maybe a week, got bored, a couple of months later, play again(usually to play some mods), got bored, and repeat.

  9. I played this game 1 complete time, I have tried soooo many times to get back into it, after all these years its too shallow of a game

  10. That step out moment from Fallout 3 really is a tier above though.

  11. Bruh my animation, body and Skyrim combat overhaul mods are broken with the latest update…. Some things never change… like how war…. War never cha-

    Oops. Wrong IP

  12. well based off the cycle. We have one more: Skyrim Anniversary Edition VR

  13. Still haven't beat alduin yet I was saving it for a good time then I forgot about this game till I watched this now I am going to install when I get off work

  14. I didn't find the secret passage in Pinewatch until my second playthrough of the game, and I remember being shocked by how I missed it and so many other secrets or unmarked points of interest throughout the world. I still enjoy most Ubisoft-style open worlds, but I know that once I've been to every question mark on the map, there just isn't much else to find or a reason to start a new game. No matter how thoroughly I think I've explored an area in Skyrim, I find something I've never seen before within hours of a new playthrough. The world just never gets old!

  15. My wife and I were given the hardbound books of the complete Skyrim books found in the game. Quite awesome. … oh, and I also have the Skryim cook book. 🙂

  16. I love oblivion more than Skyrim , oblivions main and side quest and faction quest I think are better .

But Skyrim combat was a improvement.
Every time they remaster Skyrim they could use that time to start making ES6 .

Skyrim is getting so old and tiring on the console side .
PC is different due to the modding community.

  17. It's 2022 and I decided to play it again.

Yep, still love it, didn't bother with the anniversary edition

  18. I've tried to play Skyrim many times. The combat mechanics are terrible compared to other RPGs. There's hardly any music. No story happens in 20 hours. The interface and UI is terrible. I just don't get it. My friend and I think Mass Effect is the best game ever, but he said perhaps Skyrim is his favorite with Mass Effect number 2. I don't get it. I like Dragon Age though. I'm hoping Starfield is the Skyrim for me. Mass Effect x Skyrim = Starfield.

  19. This is a game that I have no strong feelings for and will never list as a favorite of mine, but I can't say I completely hate the game. Because of this total apathy, Skyrim is my go-to for when boredom strikes because I can easily start a character and not worry about finishing the adventure.

  20. I have to say playing it not as a child the quests are so vapid and empty. Every quest feels lazy with plot holes around every corner.

  21. If people keep buying it I guess they will keep releasing it 🤷‍♂️

  22. Hjerimm is still fucking broken. Best house in the game. I can't have it because the quest is bugged to shit. My main quest when playing Skyrim is to fucking live in Hjerimm. And by the time i realize I can't fix it. I'm done

  23. I had never played an Elder Scrolls game, but when that Skyrim official trailer with the theme and the montage and everything came out, I was in. It looked life changing. I listened to the music that leaked before the game released and imagined exploring the world to those great songs, I read reviews about the world being alive and the NPCs reacting to you realistically…

In reality it wasn't that great. I think Skyrim is a really overrated game. It's a beautiful world, with nothing really meaningful in it. The combat is terrible, the quests are bland, the story is simplistic…I could never finish it. I played it a lot overall. But it never earned my love. However, I always wanted to try to improve it with mods. The missed potential was hard to get over, and mods were a chance to make up for it. I've experimented with it here and there, but I haven't had a great GPU in a long time and I always wanted to bump up the graphics. I'll try to get a new graphics card soon, and then, maybe, I can really start trying to play this game the way I've always wanted to.

  24. PS3 couldn't even play skyrim properly, made me jump ship to xbox, and I have no regrets. Series x is the best video game platform ever. Deathloop is still bugged to shit though. It made my console crash. So sad Bethesda bought Arkane and xbox bought betheseda. The first dishonered was good. the second one wasn't, and now deathloop is just boring. I still love blink/shift. whatever you want to call it. And then Deathloop punishes you for playing the game intelligently and won't allow you to play it that way again. It's the stanley parable with guns.

  25. I literally just redownloaded skyrim after not playing for probably a year or more and i open youtube and this was the first recommended video…..who spying on my ass?

  26. Game releases better pick up quick for poor Matty, the content well has been reduced to a Skyrim in 2022 video 😪

  27. 2011 was the year I almost failed my Junior year in High school because of this damn game 😫

  28. Say what you want about Bethesda: they make amazing games (if not amazing for the reasons they intend (FO76))

  29. If only Skyrim 2011 was back compat. It would've been nice to go back before the SE.

  30. Games that require you to walk ALL THE WAY back to where you started in the dungeons is almost always deal breaking to me now because of how Skyrim designed the majority of its dungeons to be a full circle in a clever way. It’s immersive and addictive

  31. I tried playing skyrim in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022…. and I don't care what anyone thinks because I have formulated my own damn opinion. Love this game, always have, likely always will. And surprisingly, I've only purchased the game 4 times. OG on Xbox 360, Legendary on PS3, Special on Xbone, Anniversary on PS4.
