Remedy released their Foundation DLC last month. It’s a good, honest DLC drop that I enjoyed far more than I thought I would. If you enjoyed Control, I’d recommend this.

The Foundation is pretty good, with signifcantly less performance issues on base consoles. Face animations are worse than in the base game, though.
hey i just wanted to say im sorry skillup. i first found u cuz of ur ANthem hate, and i hated you for it thinking u were wrong and ever since launch i realized u been right ever since lol. and you have become one of my favorite youtubers. stay true and honest.
Play sleeping dogs 🥺
I did love this modern day X-files with alternative dimensions. Best boss of the game was Essej in the mirror, that shit was just amazing. Looks like it’s DLC as well then and hopefully more boss fights like that.
Anyone know Ralph’s background? The familiarity with which he talks on development topics, he seems to have been in the industry for a while.
You do not understand what makes the writing so special in this game. It's different from anything else I've ever played, stilted, awkward, and weird on purpose to immerse you in this wonderful world, a mix of corporate drudgery with lovecraftian horror. I adore this game, because there's simply nothing else like it.
I also play it in French. I encourage you to play it in a language you don't know. It makes everything so much weirder, and that's a very good thing.
Do u only make reviews on games you like? Would love to hear a review you hate something
Damn, you put a massive "Spoiler" blurr screen over my most favorite scene of that DLC!
I really liked the story dlc and had my fun with it.
Had to look up for a guide for all those cats thou.
And I skipped that stupid arena time based challenge mode. It just sucks.
Dear god, after how bad the writing and the character was for me, I don't think I could stomach even more of it.
Glad I turned on notifications so I can get notified for the 12 minute commercials. Awesome!
skill up please review a game called transistor
Thumbs up for mentioning Digital Foundry.
Sponsored vids are fine. Saying it's a great time to buy a graphics card when it's really not from a value perspective is not. If you can wait for the love of God wait to buy a GPU. We are a few months out from next lines being released and this is the WORST time to buy because the current technology has been around for a relatively long time (a year in PC technology industry is an eternity) and current prices are ballpark what you will pay for drastically improved performance when the new lines from AMD Nvidia and hell even Intel are announced later this summer.
Dont buy this game. It's so shallow, lonely and boring
The only thing good about to game is the destructible environment!
I actually skipped Control till a few months based on your initial review. Man how wrong was I to do that. I basically disagreed with everything you said lol. But we all have opinions. The Voodoos got me.
Is foundation a PS4 only dlc?
The map was so fustrating in the basic game
Jesus, those faces are nightmarish. I'm not sure I could tolerate that. Horizon Zero Dawn had some wacky mouths and eyes which definitely made you think you of two robots chatting. They did make some huge improvements to that in the DLC, so fair dos there. But this seems far worse, from the footage you've shown
Should have splurged for the season pass, the next DLC is Alan Wake.
Saw another comment already mentioning this but you have a short clip spoiling one of the bosses' identity…the one I noticed starts at around 5:20
I don't think writing is going to change, ever. That's just how Sam Lake writes his games. It worked for me in Max Payne, but I never got used to it in Alan Wake nor in Control. Still, to me is like Hideo Kojima, they both have very interesting ideas, and their stories are engaging, but the dialog is… not for everyone xd
"Boss battles were generally more frustrating then fun" well no shit your using the service weapon, and on top of that your using the most shit weapon form
Hey there. The camera on the transit control cart is part of a very well-hidden mystery that requires careful examination of your documents to uncover. If you go through them carefully, you may begin to piece together a connection. Or you can watch a breakdown of this secret, which I did, because obviously I’m too stupid to find this kind of thing out on my own. It’s very big.
You said you enjoyed it the first time around in this video, but the title of your last video is basically implying you didn't like the game… did you have some sort of change of heart between the release of the game, your initial review, and this DLC? Or did you just see that everybody else was loving/praising it, so you changed your opinion for the DLC?
boring repetitive overrated game
Have they still not implemented controlling the environment? Like moving pieces of ground or staircases or platforms. I feel like this game seriously missed a huge opportunity to do Zelda like puzzles with controlling the environment around her with her Jedi powers. Or even upgrade her abilities even more to break off entire walls to throw at bosses or something.
The bossfights were super easy if you pour all your points into Launch and use the Prism to hit the boss more than anything, and keep moving as much as possible
U have to spoil the story part!!
Alan Wake 2, please Remedy.
Don't watch if you don't want any spoilers.
We getting coverage ok the Alan wake dlc?
I actually just bought the ultimate addition for 20 bucks today and I’ve already unlocked the other sectors can’t wait to play the expansions
I get more out of a Dreamcast Guy review , that this channel.
Does ray tracing service the gameplay?
Such bullshit you talk about the boss battles, Its actually one of the first games in a good while that actually presents a challenge at some times, Thats whats wrong with games these days, no challenge at all, and all Fast food mechanics
Cyberpunk…haha… that didn’t age well.
i liked when the picture of jesse started to appear as the director.
is this a review or a god damn ad? dafuq is wrong with you? aren't you making enough money from youtube? jfc. you people are just greedy. dislike.
The physics, destruction and the attention to fine details is what makes it for me on top of the amazing world in which it is set.
I just love that sort of brutalist architecture and interior design, especially with such a good light.
And I mean just go to 1:03 of this video, Jesse picks up a projector, holds it up in the air while it is being fully animated with reels spinning and all, and to top it of it projects an image on the wall as it floats in the air.
For anyone interested, the base game is free on Epic right now (until next thursday) so anyone who doesn't have it should totally pick it up.
I wish you did AWE review as well
So literally 4 minutes were of the Nvidia ad. No hate just funny and you spoiled one of the biggest moments and reveals of the story. Nice
Hiw do I access dlc on os5 I have ultimate edition on ps plus
The only problem is you. 5/5 pick it up folks
Downloaded it from epic game, completed every mission but no foundation dlc pops up😔
You must start over the game for DLC.? I played only standard version.
Actually the AWE dlc is much better, the horror tone fits the games atmosphere perfectly
