A lot of people underestimate Shay but they forget that he has both Assassin and Templar stats maxed out lol. My guy hunted Assassins and killed mentors who trained him, was a active killer during seven years war, lots of on land and naval combat experience, knew politics and how the society operates, had access to variety of modern weapons. Forget long range battles, Shay probably outclass most Assassins there but even at close range a killer who can sneak up on an Assassin is a force to be reckoned with.
Bro Shay wasn't trained by Templars, neither did he outrun an Earthquake, he was just dodging the rubble. The earthquake was surely already happening as he was there. Bayek beats up Hippos for cardio training. Not only that but Bayek is a warrior first, he gets Battle IQ easily

shay's life as a whole was testament to very wide experience in both ends of the stick, he fought templars and assassins alike, was succesful in making the templars the dominant party in the colonial era and then set out hunting more than two decades for the precursor box throughout the world, man has got more experience than bayek bro
