While Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 wouldn’t be out until next year at the very least, this hasn’t stopped fans from speculating about the game’s story and possible additions to gameplay among a slew of other things.
From the reveal trailer, it is confirmed that Venom is going to play an important part in the game’s narrative proceedings, but it’s unclear as to how he would fit in the emerging picture and what ramifications that would carry with regards to gameplay. We are big fans of Spider-Man here on GamingBolt, and we can’t wait to gush about our theories on this matter

Tbh I doubt that Norman Osborn will become Green Goblin in the 2nd game, post credit scene maybe…
I think Insomniac will save that villain for the 3rd or 4th game, idk we'll see🕷
I think Harry is just a way to get the symbiote onto Peter. As of now, Harry and Peter have no reason to be in conflict with one another. They are clearly going with the ultimate comics version of the symbiote which was designed to cure cancer and other harmful diseases. That being said Eddie Brock was already mentioned in the first game and seems to know Peter Parker pretty well. I can see them having Eddie Brock be more of the personal villain as Doc Ock was to Peter in the first game and Kraven being the Martin Li type/side villain. Who knows, maybe it was Kraven who hired Taskmaster to study Spider-man in the first game as it was never mentioned who his "clients" were.
My guess is that Norman creates the Goblin formula out of desperation to cure Harry since the symbiote is no longer on him, with dangerous consequences.

probably Peter Parker becomes venom and miles morales has to fight him or something.
wheres eddie brock? would love to see cameo or the symbiote bond with brock after being defeated by peter at the end

Although I have no doubt that the symbiote will start with Harry…but the venom we see in the trailer is no doubt Eddie brock. Point being is that the alien parasite reacts differently depending on the host its attached to….i.e carnage and spidey….I know they are willing to take some liberties…but that is just one you can't afford to change too much

This game going to be so much fun now that they’re making Venom as the main baddie,and Tony Todd doing the voice is even more awesome. Don’t know how they’ll make a story and side mission between Miles and Peter’s gameplay in Spider-Man 2.

I loved both Spider-Man games so far and I have no doubt in this one. I just want to see gameplay at this point. I definitely want the ability to switch between red and symbiote suits on the fly

First of all, Harry being venom is just dumb and makes no sense and in the story, it's clear harry is being healed by the symbiote until it's separated and stolen and it's all so clear that Peter is getting the symbiote suit hence the white spider at the end of the trailer and also Eddie brock was mention in the Miles morales DLC so why set that up if he wasn't going to be Venom
