if it makes you feel any better the real house has a door that goes from living room to hallway. still a dumb floorplan though

This actually makes kind of a little bit of sense. 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, same as my grandmothers house.. not a terrible floor plan. Not a good one by a mile, but also no too awful either
I wish u make a building challenge by the size of the house, starting from 1×1 until you get to 10×10 or something you think would be a good size for a house

that layout is almost exactly like my nanas house was it can be made into something very pretty 😀
I found the house on Zillow and it sold for nearly $800k in 2021. Imagine paying that much money for a truly awful house. Also suggests the owners would be at least somewhat likely to have a high enough income to fix some of this and they just didn’t
i looked online and there is an archway from the living room to the hallway that they don’t show in the floor plan
the master bedroom and garage not being longer than the rest bothered me

I'm a weirdo and went to Zillow to look at the photos; there is actually an archway into that hallway! The floorplan maker must have either forgotten to denote the archway, or they didn't know it was there.

Not going to lie, coloring the floors really works for me. Maybe not quite that bright, but next time I want to try and work out a floor plan and I'm stumped this might help. It's a really nice visual.
